Updater quits
« on: June 10, 2005, 02:35:29 am »
When I try to log on, a message pops up saying I\'m not running the proper version for the server. I searched and found out that I should run the updater. but when I try to start it up, it quits while starting.

How can I get the right version for the server??!
here\'s my computer and internet speed :

Mac OS 10.3.9
400 mhz
384 mg ram
comcast high-speed internet

In your start menu, righjt click \"Planeshift Updater\"
where is has a box that says \"Target\" copy and paste this to replace what is currently written there

\"C:\\Program Files\\PlaneShift Crystal Blue\\updater.exe\" --auto

this will launch server only updater. allow this to update then it will close after completion!
Happy Planeshifting!

First, this post belongs in this forum.

No, wait... this post doesn\'t belong anywhere!

The reason is that in the \"A Guide to Running Planeshift on Mac OS X\" sticky on the Mac OS X forum (linked above) I tell you how to run Planeshift on Mac OS X (including updating, etc).

I know you\'re new and don\'t yet know the ways of the forum (young padowan :P ). However, in the future, please look around before posting and if you can\'t find something just by looking. If searching doesn\'t do it, then find the right forum and THEN post.

P.S. Welcome to Planeshift!
