(This is the Ghosts common banner, although we have many variations)
Our StorySaen snuck down the narrow and dimly lit alleyway. A single lantern from the street cast a small amount of pale illumination into it?s narrow passage, so he could make out the dim shapes of several people congregated within. They stood just far enough away from the mouth of a busy tavern? far enough so that they could not be heard, Saen was certain. A tall figure in the middle spoke to the others, his hushed voice still able to project a tone of authority. Saen stayed very, very quiet so that he could hear without being heard.
?I tell you, it?s the only way,? the tall figure said.
?I?m still not sure King,? another shadow said, ?you say that it?s the only way, but I don?t like the idea of relying on others, I?m pretty confident in my abilities, and I?ll take my chances on my own before I rely on other people to do my fighting for me.?
?Dinnin, I realize that you are powerful on your own, but think about how much better off you?d be if you could rely on others who are more proficient in combat to assist you. Together we?d all be stronger and more likely to succeed in our quest.?
Saen moved closer, not certain what he wanted to do. He was hungry and needed to acquire some money for food, but the group looked formidable? no easy marks here and way too many of them. He decided to wait until the group split up and then he would follow one and get his gold.
The tall one named King spoke again, ?Not only will we be able to protect one another in combat, but we will be able to pool our resources. When one of us needs a weapon, but can not afford it we will be able to lend money to them to acquire it. Doing so will benefit all of us because we if we agree to form a family here and now we will be able to count on that sword protecting not just one of us, but each and every one of us. We require no commitment further than a member?s word of honor, for we all know that is all that is required when one is a member of a family? we can all trust family to do as they promise. ?
The figure that King had called Dinnin scratched his chin and then thrust out his hand. King took the hand and sealed the compact. The others all thrust out their hands and sealed the deal as well. Sean was suddenly overcome with a feeling that he could not explain and stepped out of the shadows.
King gazed upon the newcomer without speaking. Without thought Sean said, ?I am Sean? a weary traveler. I have nothing to offer but my loyalty and skills, for the trek to this lonely town has cost all of my wealth. I heard what you had to say and I would like to join your family, if you will take me.?
King asked, ?Why were you here in the shadows Sean??
Sean looked down at the ground guiltily and answered, ?I am hungry and I was looking to lighten one of your purses for food. I suppose that you do not require such a person in your group??
King thought for a moment and then spoke, ?Well, every decision is a group decision, but your honesty moves me. I am of the opinion that you would make a good addition to our family, and every family has to forgive faults at some time or other. What does the group say??
The other members of the group all nodded acceptance and indicated that they agreed. Saen thrust his hand out and took each other member?s in turn. Thus was formed the Ghosts whose exploits would become the stuff of legend, but that is a story for another time.
Our Ranking SystemWe have everyone within 3 major groups, and 1 minor one, excluding the GuildMaster.
Level 1 - Squire (General Members) Level - Everyone is put here, there is only 1 possible group to advance to, and very rarely does that happen. So you are normally stuck here.
Level 2 - Knight (First Class Members Level) - Only the people who make incredible dents within the guilds existence will be allowed to rejoice in this level. It is not for the faint of hearted, as much more is expected of this level.
Level 3 - Alt\'s (Alt Members Levels) - This is where all the Alts of the guild members are allowed to be put. So people do not get confused with who there real identity is.
Level 8 - Officers (Officer Level) - These people have sworn that no matter what, they will continue to time and time again, show honor and swear oaths to protect our faire guild.
Level 9 - Soveriegn (GuildMaster Level) - Only 1 is ever allowed, and only one there shal.
We only want few different ranks, becuase it stops competition amongst guild members. This keeps everyone happy, and the guild in tip top shape.
Our Responsibilities as a Guild
- A responsible environment, where People know what to do, and cosquences are layed for those that do something wrong.
-We do not take kindley to ass\'s. Anyone found to be utterly annoying is removed on the spot.
-Whats Something without it being fun? We insist competition, questing, and general gameplay and fun things before the boring things of the game.
-Cooperation, and TeamPlay are highly encouraged and The Ghosts offers a vast ammount of teamplay. Most of our commanding officers and members know that a group that knows eachother fights together as well.
Although our amounts of members may not look like much, each of our members has worked with guild situations before, and knows what he/she must do, so although we have very few, we are much more experienced that guilds that create people from who they meet in game.
