First impression

Hi all

I first tried this game about a year and a half ago,and was impressed with it being completely free, however i decided after a few days not to bother because there wasnt much to do.
Thats not a grumble as i realise it is in alpha stage and it was nice to have the opportunity to test it out.
I recently stumbled onto the game yesterday again and decided to give it another go.
It has come a very long way i see,but again i am wondering wether to continue, there is a lot more to do now,but im not sure its worth playing it regularly until the character wipe has taken place,it would be a shame to get a decent character only to then lose it.
A couple of other things that have detered me are the spawns for monsters, there is rarely anything to fight.
And the other thing is the darkness,it seems to always be far too dark,i cannot venture more than a tunnel into the sewers for fear of not being able to see anything at all.
I died once and found myself in a pitch black death area where all i could make out was one small path but after that path started to go uphill i could see absolutely nothing and after 20 deaths from falling, had to get someone to lead me out.
Is it that dark for everyone?
I dont mind a death penalty, but it was impossible for me to see anything or to escape from the death area without a guide lol.

Views and comments are welcome,as i say this is not a grumble, just my views and i know that it is in early stages of development.

Hi Bling,

there are different levels of light now, according to the time during the day - at least when you are outside.

Inside the sewers there is a constant level of ambient light so you should be able to see something. At least I am able to...

Maybe you can try to play abit with the graphics settings (like the gamma factor etc.) to improve your situation.

BTW this is a RPG so there is nothing wrong about talking to peple in game to help you out (e.g. the death realm).

Have fun playing. :-)
