[ooc: im not good at forum rp, so, this might suck a little.. no confidense in myself :p]

History/Story behind the guild

I was a lost klyros looking searching day and night for his destiny. One such night, while walking through the forest, the moon\'s ray had lit up a path I had never came across before. Along this path, I found the gates to Hydlaa Plaza... to my relief. Perhaps it was a sign to help me find my center. At my first steps in the plaza, I was greeted by a secret guild who helps out other travelers like me who were new to the city. I did much good when I was in this secret guild, but as time passed by I was beginning to get sick of helping travelers with their problems.

It was too much. I did what I could, yet I got nothing in return. I kept holding on however, for maybe another sign would point me the way... for I felt lost... again.

Then, on one that seemed to be an ordinary day, I was visiting the blacksmith to do business and heard screams near the center of the plaza. It was screams of pain and cries of war. The music of chaos had broken lose it seemed to me, so I peaked down to see a red demon and corps all around him. I knew I had too fight this evil that had brought havoc into the plaza, but he froze me just when I was about to strike my first hit. Helpless, standing there frozen, he slew me where I stood.

After resurrecting from the dead all I was thinking was who was that red demon I just saw? Alas, he is in the plaza, standing proud with his bloody sword in hand.

His name was...

Amheh.

Amheh showed me the ways of evil through his destruction, and how he used this power to destroy whomever stood in his way. I knew he was my enemy as my guild fought for good, but his words had awakened something inside of me. Since our meeting, I was feeling something... different. I was craving something. Something that my guild could not give me. Power. Evil.

I kept resisting this craving so I left the plaza and went to Oja. Maybe it would clear my mind. I took three other strong guild members with me for the trip. While we where there, I discussed with my companions my problem: My craving for power, how I would rather destroy than build. Instead of my companions telling me to fight it and remain good, my words had awakened their craving for power also. With this, I persuaded them to leave our secret guild despite what they have done for us. And build our own. And gather those who crave power such as we did?.

Twin Blades of Arete was born: A guild that will shake the very foundations of Yliakum!

Ranks
Twin blades of Arete uses the 8 lvl ranking differently, it may be wise to visit our site for ranking information.

Allignment
Twin Blades of Arete started in Neutral Evil, but from the recent guild activities. We are quickly shifting to Chaotic Evil

Rules
Basically, our main rule is that you MUST have two weapons equipped, doesn?t matter if it is sword, axe or mine pick.

Current new members are exempted to this rule. If one invites a new member and hits below 10, the one who invites that person in the guild has the responsibility to train that person to hit 10 or more damage within ONE (1) week.

When a Blade Master (guild leaders) calls for a meeting in the game, drop what you?re doing and go to the specified place of meeting.

When a fellow member(s) calls for an assistance, the one who is asking must state his location in the game (if it is needed) and the closest must assist. Ignore this rule if the person is only asking a question.

When you are about to do something related to the guild except invite a member such as removing, guildwar, or leaving guild, he must ask permission from one of the Blade Masters, and should no Blade Master be online, ask a member who is online to pass your message to a Blade Master. If no guild member is online, add me, Karsier, to your buddy List and tell me that you have left my guild when I go online.

For other information, check the guild site, it\'s all there.

Applaudes

Impressing, quite impressing. I must say that your story is well thought of (- and involves other not-directly-related PCs, this is quite impresive)

There are some minor spelling mistakes (the only one that jumps to my mind is the corps one (in case you meant corpses))

A good concept to. I look forward until Amheh sees this (I guess he will like it)

*Edit* I cant get past the flash movie on your hp

The story keeps changing tense and could use a little more of a professional touch to it. I\'m guessing english isn\'t your first language but its ok. Great stat compared to some of the other guilds that have been popping out.  :)

Oh ya Neutral Evil and Chaotic Evil are the same thing. :)

Edit: I think you confused neutral with lawful.

Edit Edit: Wow your site is most 133t. :) Though I hate that little thing geocities has on the side. If you can use HTml well try freewebs.com

If you look in our forum, you\'ll notice that I posted a proof-read version of Karsier\'s post.  If he likes it, he\'ll edit his post and make the changes.

To be completely honest, I don\'t see myself... my guild... as evil.  Maybe my guildmates will disagree with me.  \"Evil\" is a useful word because others call us evil and people think of how we operate as evil.  We\'re driven by power.  By misery.  By revenge.  Maybe that\'s evil, but are any of us above such things?

I think the difference is that we admit it.  We enjoy it.  We nourish it.  Especially our thurst for power.  With power, everything else follows.

\"Good\" or \"Evil\", they\'re just paths to the same goal:  Power.  Perfection.  However, to be good is to be limmited, and to be limmited is not acceptable.

Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?

wow.. thanks for the positive response.. i knew there will be a mention of my typos.. :p anyways, about the \"neutral Evil\' thing, from other games that I played.. Neutral Evil and Chaotic Evil is different from each other, Neutral Evil are the ones who do things for themselves, but they do not seek destruction, unlike Chaotic Evil who seeks power and destruction, power over everything... perhaps this site will clarify things about the nine Alignments http://www.d20srd.org/srd/description.htm

EDIT: btw.. you can\'t see the story/history of the guild in our forums, umm.. it was posted in the members only thread... But i shall move it to somewhere where it can be seen by everyone (You already read it here so... no point really.. still..)

That was a really interesting read, as I\'ve never come upon anything of the sort :) I don\'t know if Planeshift and the majority of its established guilds follow the same guidelines and definitions, however. But there is nothing wrong with new interpretations. Nice!

 I already like you kiddo.

Keep up the good work, and maybe I\'ll complete your explanation in the future. ;)

Right now, the guild seems pretty elitist.  It\'s a smaller number of more powerful warriors.  I wouldn\'t mind it staying that way, but at the same time there is a need to expand and draw in more players.  It will be a tough ballance.

I think that players will outgrow the newer \"evil\" guilds and come to us.  It\'s just a matter for us to be patient and open.  When I look at us, we\'re mostly people who have come together because we were unhappy with our former guilds:  Me and Hirato from Courier, Bichon from Avatars or whatever, Scaar from Crystal Warriors, R. from Duex.... the list goes on.  The fact that many of us came from other guilds is definately part of our identity.

and by that I mean well done, considering you\'re evil.

Xirius travels to the temple of Keldjan, lights six flames, and conjours six pools of water. He sits between the circle of the holy crimson and cerulean and meditates. Waking after a countless period of time, he comes to a conclusion

Yes, my divination powers tell me that your guild will go far, but the relationship between it and Keldjan is clouded, so we shall see. Remember that ultamate evil and ultamate good lead to the same result, they are two sides of the same coin.

I do not believe we are one with Kjeldan.  We do not believe in ballance, only ultimate power and perfection.... and only for ourselves and our allies.

Well, you seem to have had a fairly warm welcome... That\'s new.

[Outrageous lie!]I\'m not one to deviate from the general opinion.[/outrageous lie] So I\'m going to give you a warm welcome to PS and hope you survive longer than most. If you have any questions about the arcane, feel free to ask.

Throw the coin often enough into the air and it will land on it\'s edge.

About being elitist, it is pretty wise to set quality above quantity. I have seen no mass-recruiting guild that survived longer than a month.

Our standards are higher than most, but still pretty minimal.  We require skill in weapons partly because we are a guild of kill - err, I mean a guild of hunters and fighters.  It\'s also to show that you have had spent some time in the game exploring and RPing.  Personality is a big part of it to me, too.  If you don\'t come across with the right In Game personality, then chances are I won\'t submit your request to join.  That\'s just me though.
