The Idol Mouth Cave... another dungeon?

While I was exploring off of the main road between the two towns I found a rock head that was leaned back against the hillside. After a while of trying I was able to get into the mouth and I found some weird spider monster sitting there. I attacked it and it killed me in one shot. Has anyone else been to this place? The critter was not a tetsufang or a crackle or anything. It really looked like a spider. I cannot remember the name though.

\"Rock head that leaned back against the hillside\" isn\'t specific enough for me to recall the place you mentioned, but the creatures that inhabit the hills often find interesting places for ambushes, or dens.

I think he\'s referring to a big stonehead near the valley full of tefusangs.
I\'ve seen noone get inside of it though.

Yup big stone head and it had a trepor inside. I slid down the hill behind it an jumped to get on the head. After my health came back up I jumped down inside the mouth. It looked like a cave. I took a couple steps in and got killed by one of those trepors.

I know the place you mean, but I never made it into hte mouth.  The one time I tried, I slipped and fell down the hill above the head and died.

It\'s a waste disposal chute, though it hasn\'t been properly constructed on the map, so there\'s no endless tunnel inside or anything.

The stone face is the visible part of a titan from centuries ago.  He and his kin terrorized the land; His clan was slain at the cost of many knights from across the known land.  He fled to the hillside and was hunted down by a powerful sorcerer who turned him into stone.

The winds of time have burried him such that now, only his face is visible - still with the expression of anguish that was on his face at his moment of transformation.

Uh huh. I am sure that is really what happened. Well that stinks that it is a waste disposal chute. I have killed myself 3 times trying to get back in there to explore.

... oh was that last remark supposed to be funny? I really think if it is just a waste chute that it would make a good mini dungeon, of course it might need to be slightly easier to get into it first...

its in ojaroad. explore the hills there and you should find it. it is pretty close to the ruins if I remember correctly (but I haven\'t been on in a couple months so I could be wrong)
