Yes, Dreu1. That is stupid of you.

I kid, I kid. But many people have had trouble with the mirrors on the official PlaneShift site, so I usually direct them to the BitTorrent downloads.
*points at her sig* As you can see, I at least do my seeding part. According to Azureus there are currently 3231 seeders and 4451 leechers. That ratio ain\'t too bad.

Are you behind a firewall, router, or some other....uh....thingie that might block ports? I\'ll assume so since you say you are on a LAN. If you can, try opening ports 6881-6889. They are most typically used by BT clients. (
to access your router\'s settings, type 192.168.0.1 into your browser\'s address bar) What OS and BT client are you running?
Finally, sometimes it takes a while for your BT client to get information about your download, so it appears to go slowly in the beginning, but after maybe five to ten minutes the pace quickens a great deal. At least that\'s how it went for me. (I\'m using a 802.11b AP that\'s connected via cable modem, so my connection isn\'t
the fastest, but it\'s okay)
If I may make a suggestion: if you\'re new to BitTorrent downloading, use
Azureus. It provides a much more detailed overview of how your download is going than the official client. And with a Gig of RAM in your system, it doesn\'t drain resources all that much.
