noboty like plays this game anymore because noboty reads these forums ir anything the game will not work because it always has a problem not just with my computer it hasnt been worjking for a whole week and it says it has been offline that WHOLE TIME is there anything anyone could ever do

Likely he hasn\'t updated. I\'d suggest updating by double-clicking updater(.exe) in your Planeshift folder and then clicking \"Update.\"

I can get it to work i keep getting unexpected errors and my updates freeze i might already have themm though because i downloaded the lesser download then the one that just came out so i think i might be downloading it twice but if your reading this and you have IM send  a IM message to palmcaptain and if that doesnt work try palm captain

No one is going to IM you, that\'s what forum posts and PMs are for :P Unexpected errors will happen no matter what - I run the game perfectly for hours, and then in the middle of nowhere the client will crash. There are bugs, that is known. Are you sure your updater freezes? Sometimes it may appear as though it isn\'t moving, but it\'s usually chugging along. Give it a long while, some updates are huge (+80mb).

i download the first part that came out then on the main page i downloaded the next one then i deleted the first one now i am stuck with number 10 thats what it was i want to play this game too it says if i want to save a dionostic??? i have no clue

It is not that easy to understand exactly what you mean in your messages. Can you please use some comma there and then?

I download the first part that came out -> You mean you have downloaded the binary version of the client from the main page?

then on the main page I downloaded the next one -> You mean you have downloaded again the binary version of the client when there has been the big update?

I delete the first one -> you mean that you have deleted the first installation you did?

now I am stuck with number 10 -> you mean you have the version 3.0.0.10 of the client?

it says if I want to save a dionostic -> you mean when you try to run the client you get a pop up window that asks you if you want ot save a diagnostic file?

Well, if you have deleted the previous versions of the client and installed the new one, you should be able to run the updater (you can find it in start->program files -> planeshift crystal blue -> update).
Once you have the updater running you should click on \"update\". This process will let you download the latest updates for the client you are using.

If it doesn\'t work, can you try to be a bit more verbose and descriptive and say exactly, in order, which are the actions that you try to do and which the response you get from your system?

Why can\'t you update? What does it says when you try to do that?

Do you get a crash when running the updater or when you try to run the client itself?

Sorry i wasn\'t to good at the explaining part. The point is when it downloads the world after you create your charactor. It kept doing that and my update freezes all the time it just stops. Do i have to get the updates? If i don\'t thats good, do I have to? So many questions I\'m sorry but it is the first time a game didn\'t work. I don\'t understand, do you have any suggestions?

Ok, so, you are able to create a character and then you are \"loading\" the world, right?

Everytime you are in the loading screen it crashes, and you get the pop up window with \"save a diagnostic file\", correct?

It would be great if you can see which is the last message you see in the console (the console is the DOS window where you can read which steps you are doing, it is run at the same time as the \"main\" program).


When does the updater freeze? Have you tried to search through the forum about similar issues with the updater? If it is a common problem, be sure that somebody has already tried to solve it :-)
Updating it is extremely important.

I get stuck around 4%! MAYBE because I already have the files the when i have the first program. I\'m not sure I think I\'l look in the forums like you said. I might find a something, I REALLY HOPE I DO.
