Drey's Reign of Terror (Official Thread)
« on: June 20, 2005, 03:52:59 pm »
It all started out with some harmless plans for world conquest between friends:

i want to try to get an ulber into town
not alone though. that would be too risky
ill play.

so we set off to the ruins and returned with one Ulber in tow. We arrived at the gates and found a problem....

The Rux had to go something about past his bed time, but i didnt give up.

some stuff im not allowed to tell you goes here.... but eventualy  SUCCESS!

The pitiful citizens rallied in an attempt to stop me

but they were too weak

Things took an unexpcted change for the better

But then greater being interfeared with the plans,

It was then agreed that the horde must be dispersed along with the citizens and others i helped to destry my evil minions.

and they all lived happily ever after...

thank you to moogie, xordan and any others involved and sorting the mess out.

and for my fans...

-fin

<Rux> i wish i could say that narrows it down, but the internet is one freaky place

Bravo! That was fun! :) Very brave of you to sacrifice yourself to please the vengeful goddess Laanx.

Let\'s hope this doesn\'t happen again anytime soon. xD

Drey my friend, I am gladdened to see that you changed your ways and helped to end the terror though I doubt it was without much coercion that you agreed to help vanquish your minions.  Though a little (or a lot) of chaos is good occasionly to liven the spirit and get the blood flowing this may have been a bit much ;)

Hmm, though good does seem to have come from this for now there is another event great in PlaneShift history that can be chronicled as well as be written about in tales by the those of bardic profession :D

*Mumbling* Hmm, now where did I put my quill I know I left it here somewhere... wait a moment I dont own a quill, o\'well someone else can scribe down the events and I will just eat something.
*Picks up a hunk of meat off the ground* Strange I dont remember the butcher leaving meat on the street this day of the week before...

Did you actually get Ulbe to go into town?? He always rebels against it with me! And after all the ale I\'ve given him! Just because I\'ve tried a few experiments on him with Herder magic is no reason ta get stubborn on me! Hmm..maybe I can  get his twin brother to go...I wonder if he\'s still mad at me for the levitation spell...

Im interested in how exactly you did this.  Firstly, in the second picture you had no less than 10 ulbernauts in the town center.  To lead this many back would take a very long time and they would have probablly been killed one by one as you brought them back.
Secondly, i myself tried this same thing a month ago, with a variety of creatures.  Creatures cannot cross sector boundaries, which means that the furthest you can get them is just past the bend in the road that takes you out of the forest and into the plains.  (Theres a sector boundary here but you dont usually notice it.)  Unless the devs have changed this recently, which i highly doubt, you couldnt have done this as you claimed.
The logical explanation is that you somehow convinced a dev to spawn ulbernaults in the Town Square, which explains why there were so many.

You can tell them they were dev-spawned, though, just not the method in which you brought the first Ulber in.

Aye, Ayshe and Drog and I have attempted this at some point but the sector-crossing problem made for a poor ending. Nice adventure you\'ve created, though! :)
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

Now you could try to educate them so they could clean the mess in the plaza and gently throw trolls out of town, a GM ulbernaut, yehaaaa!
