I\'ve just played for thirty minutes, but so far, i dont\' think i\'ve seen any npc\'s. Also, i died and i got stuck in this hellish dark place and i cant get out because it\'s so dark. I can\'t find any path that leads out.

I\'ve no idea why this is in Forum Requests, so next time try to pay more attention to where you post :)

NPC names are in a light blue, and they are rather common these days. If you were in Hydlaa, you might\'ve seen Harnquist by the blacksmith\'s building - there is usually a large group of people standing around him. There is an unbelievably large population of NPCs in the library section as well, not to mention NPCs by the tavern, in the Laanx temple, and by the Hydlaan exit gates. And that\'s just Hydlaa - Ojaveda is crawling with them too.

Try adjusting the contrast on your monitor to see better within the Death Realm. There are certainly angles that are hard to see in, but the exit is pretty straight-forward. From the location you spawn in, head straight along the path/railway, up into what looks like a dark cave, then curl around the winding rocks (and up a ladder) until you see a sparkling portal.

I\'m afraid that the death-realm is not as straightforward as it could (and by all means should) be. If you fall off that twist of rock, which is a very likely scenario, especially for a newbie, then you fall down to the blackness and pillars of cold rock below. No amount of contrast increase will let you see anything down there, and after wandering down there for some time myself, I have to say that 2XUnstick is not a very straightforward route, as it were. As for the path itself, unless you know the way, it is very difficult to see/find out that the path turns around to the left at all, since the tile texture ends, giving way to rock. What is more likely is that you will fall off the blind edge just beyond the arch.

I think the death-realm would be a good idea with a little restructuring and flavor (maybe depending on your religeon, for instance). More flavor would help a lot of the seemingly \"empty\" areas. Just my $0.02.

The DR is not complete by any means. It will be a world of its own in time, populated by dark and twisted creatures. Players will have to do a lot more work than simply find the exit portal a minute from their spawn. Quests will be involved, trials, and battles :)

Well, at least for those of us who have decent monitors.  When I first started playing I was using this old hunk of junk that was very dark.  I had to cheat by keeping a gamma-adjusting game open in the background just so I could see anything.  Since then, they\'ve brightened things up I believe.


Whenever I\'m in the death realm, well before I was banned that is, I would make a point of going down to the bottom and talking to all the noobs who had fallen down and couldn\'t get back up.  There\'s almost always someone stuck down there.  When I first started playing, I actually deleted my character and restarted because I died and couldn\'t see anything.  I think most other people would have simply stopped playing.
