Can't see in sewers help!
« on: June 24, 2005, 04:45:05 pm »
I went into the sewers, and in most places, it\'s so dark it\'s all black. However, when i ask people, they say they can see fine. Is there a problem with my planeshift?

My monitor view is at max brightness. Is there a way to edit the brightness of the game graphics?

Try raising the gamma of your monitor / artificial gamma of your video card a little bit.  Right click on the desktop, properties, settings, advanced and look around for somewhere where you can change the gamma.

If worse comes to worse, run the PlaneShift application with the -nolightmapping option.  It removes all shadows, but makes some things appear a bit weird.

close the curtains, turn the light off hide any other bright light dources, try all the above, try -relight and if your still having trouble, get a nw monitor, some glasses or see a doctor :)
