« on: July 10, 2005, 03:23:49 pm »
Whenever i load the game it works fine up to when i am actually downloading the world, i have created a charecter just i cant get the world without the same error.
It might help the devolopers to know i got xp home sp2
the error is about a memory dump.
Exception at address: 7c00724a exception code: c0000005.
then it asked me if i want to save a diagnostics file.
Then a windows application error comes up the memory could not be \"read\"
I hope this can help.

Ah, 7c00724a the bug that can\'t be fixed... the simple way to play with this bug is to turn off sounds in Pssetup.exe, there should be a shortcut to it right next to the one to run planeshift. :)

edit pssetup.cfg with the notepad and change the word multiplex for multiplexer. Then save changes.
That has been answered before, so please, try to use the search function.
Are there any MoonSeekers left?

you don\'t get any specific error? I mean, if you have a console something in the console?
Maybe you can run it with --console and you can see if there is something that can give better hints over the problem.

LOL!

He means that your have to run the proces with the --console command. You simply edit the target of the shortcut to include --console. It\'ll look like:

\"C:\\bla\\bla\\Planeshift\\pssetup.exe\" --console

You can edit the shortcut in the properties menu.

You guys really suck at debugging problems you know that? xD

\"Not a valid win32 application\" means that the DLL callstack or the checksum is invalid and/or can\'t be loaded.

I.e, the file is broken

Laanx is down atm, but to get the newest pssetup, run the updater when it\'s back up or fetch it directly on:
http://psteam:p1ane@laanx.fragnetics.com/updater_hidden/win32/pssetup.exe
i think
