I simply cannot believe that, and no MEMBERS ONLY stuff, i hate that.  They say it\'s always gunna be free, i sure hope so cuz when final version comes out, this is gunna be the best RPG in it\'s era


But levels seem to be quite a necessity in an RPG no matter how u try to put it, cuz then thin bout it, how do u know ur limits w/ levels?

Ok. First of all, when starting a thread, try to stick to one subject if at all possible. Secondly, this easily could have been added to whoever\'s thread it is in the General Forum. Thirdly, try writing with whole words, you\'ll get a lot more respect than using abominations such as \"cuz\" and \"w/\".

Having said all that, I must admit that it is nice to see people who are excited about the game. Let\'s only hope it lasts...

The more important thing to know about planeshift is that you actually ROLEPLAY in this game. This means talk in complete centances.  No ur and cuz like Phinehas stated. For more info on what roleplaying is refer to X\'s guid to roleplaying posted on the top of the hydlaa plaza.

Is there any other MMORPG like this? I\'ve looked long and hard for this it\'s self, ok not really hard cuz i used a search engine, but still, this is the only decent one i cud find, and runescape almost came close

There was one that was \'mostly\' free which had an interesting 3d world and nice spell effects and the like but...like I said it was an almost.
There are actually loads of dumped projects that get picked up by smaller groups and supported. They are usually translated from Korean games and have odd mispellings that are only occationaly confusing. The problem is that they are never in development so what you see is what you get (WYSIWYG.)
So the answer would end up being \'no.\'
PlaneShift\'s progress is slow and ocationally tedious since everyone is volunteering their time but it guarantees that we get a fully free game.
Plus the fact that it has been in other forms. If I recall correctly Luca origionaly had it as a board game and migrated that into a grafic MUD and now this. We are assured that he at least is interested in the RP aspect of his world; you can\'t have done the MUD thing and not.

I warn you ahead of time though that I\'ve been away the last six months trying everything on there that looked halfway decent and it\'s a bust when compared with this place.
