You still don\'t understand PlaneShift, do you ;)
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

Unless it gets locked, people will always beat the crap out of the dead horse.  Why didn\'t you just lock it then, if you really didn\'t want other people to comment anymore?

EDIT:  And for topicness sake, I like the idea.  It\'s gotta be done the right way though, or people will just camp the exit point of the rogue camp, that is unless the rogues get god like speeds and are able to run out into the unknown faster than they can be killed.

Because DaveG can\'t, not moderating this section :> Besides, I think reviving an old thread is tons better than making yet another new one.

I have nothing against adding something new to an old discussion... That\'s not what\'s happening here.  :/

Instead of randomizing spawn points I would like to see NPC\'s and mobs spawn in larger numbers and have a some basic intelegence.  instead of poping up like toast they should apear as if they were traveling together in an area unacessable to players and pop in like players do when they zone.  When they \"zone\" and are greeted by attacking players more mobs could spawn behind them as backup.  Weaker NPC\'s could despawn if faced with players with very high damage per second values or very high degfensive skills to prevent a high skill player or group of players from killing in a Diablo style manor. Different mobs should behave differently as well, for instance...

Rats should attack only wounded players and attack in groups.

Rouges should spawn and attack emidiately and if they are loosing they should run.

Clackers should seek out corpses to feed on and run at the first hit.

Killing smaller creatures should require the use of a net or magic that slows or traps the creature.  Killing smarter NPC\'s should involve setting up an ambush and cutting off there escape rought.

Blahhh, nevermind they should pop up like toast, it is just easier :)

Rats used to spawn 7 in one place.  They were actually dangerous back then.

I think with the cluster of Rogues for instance, if you attack one of them, then all their buddies should rush in and own you.
