Am I all alone?
« on: July 18, 2005, 08:01:29 pm »
I was just wondering if any girls actually play this game?

I get criticized for being female and being into MMORPG\'s.

No one will criticize you here . . . especially if you\'re a Fenki.  Watch out for Drog, though.
Yliakum, a really big crystal. These are the voyages of the Explorers Guild.  Its ongoing mission: to explore strange new maps, to seek out new life and new NPCs.  To boldly glitch where no one has glitched before.

IF we were to do that, why would Moogie be a GM9/2D dev/Moderator/and shadowkin. Talamir is impressed  Besides. Female Enkidukais probably outdo any other race/gender.

Think before you post smartie pants. She might have taken that the wrong way!

He wont/cant critisize you about your gender. He meant if you do something stupid etc. Anyway, dont mind him. Best to ignore Phinehas completely.

Ah yes. I didn\'t mean about that. I just meant in general. I\'m evil, not sexist. :P

I can\'t speak for anyone else but personally, I think it\'s extremely cool that you and other women are into MMORPGs (or any other games). I\'m really against stereotypes. Plus, this is 2005, so anyone who tells you it\'s uncool for a girl to be into games, ignore them because they\'re stuck in the past. Girls/women make anything in this world a little more interesting just by being around. :)

I can\'t believe people still criticise each other about such trivial things. In fact I\'m quite convinced that this is a dying practice, and most of the girls I\'ve come across who were asking if they were the only female either had a persecution complex, or wanted attention. (Keeping in mind that I\'m not presuming either of the above about you ;))
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

Allow me.

*ahem*

Get a life! No one\'s persecuting, and even if they were, you should just stand up and take it like a... woman. Now I\'m going to ignore you.

(it wasn\'t strictly sexist, was it? Thanks for the ideas Karyuu. :P)

Take it easy, Karyuu. Even if you\'re not presuming anything, I don\'t see posts like that as some kind of need for self-confidence boost. It\'s her first post, she may have just gotten into computer games or MMORPGs. She may be very young (or a scorpio :D), so a little want for attention is understandable. If she\'s a teenager, for example, it\'s possible that her parents and friends could be criticizing her for playing computer games. Last but not least, with all the stereotypes flowing around about women and computer games, it\'s understandable, and it\'s only a question. :P

PS Wonders if Karyuu has grown her hair long again. :D
