So how many servers do we have for this thing?  Is it only the one?

From the IT standpoint.  What has caused this.  I am now studying Network Tech in college and would love to know more.  Does this happen regularly?  As well great job to everyone who has been building this.  I played many months ago before any fighting was a capability.  I really enjoyed the little I did last night.  Wonderful fun and the other peeps are great!

Well, at the moment I am unsure. I cannot ssh to the machine so the entire machine is
a) crashed/locked up
b) powered off
c) disconnected from the Internet.

This is not a normal occurance and the machine has been rock solid for a number of years now.  The last week or so we\'ve had some issues so trying to resolve those now.

Thank you, is there an on location member that can check it out (if it is outsourced is there someone at the facility that can be called?)

Where is it located, what are the weather conditions there?  As well what are the costs of mirroring to another server in the future?  Has everyone logged out of the ssh session when done.  If too many are open it will not let more in for security reasons...

Just a thought.

The server is donated  by http://www.fragnetics.com and are based out of Singapore.  At the moment it\'s pretty early in the morning there :).  So will send them an email to see what the status is.  The second machine they donated to use ( currently using as a development server ) is ok so is probably not a weather issue.

Right now the servers are donated free of charge and moving to a new server provider would involve a lot of work ( ie signing new contracts etc ).  Like I said, there is a second machine that we can use in an emergancy if the primary won\'t be available.

There are only a couple of people that SSH in so I don\'t think it\'s that.  Plus the fact the webserver is also down makes me assume the machine is either off or totally disconnected from the Internet.

No problem.  Anything that can help keep people informed to we don\'t get strange rumors.

In the CCNA (Router Class) even one person not logging out of a Telnet session could cause it if it was done mutiple times.  Thanks for the input.

Doing a great job guys, I appreciate the free info that is shared here.

The way to fix this is to make it not die in the first place.  A backup server running the same unstable program would crash just as much...  :P

DF999 soon is a relative term.  Do we yet know the official problem?

Is it on the Physical, Datalink, Network, Transport, Session, Presentation, or Application layer?

We do not know is an acceptable answer.  If this is due to software how long has this version been running?  As well what is the Hardware setup out there like?  Just a couple of questions I had...
