How do I get money and Items? I\'ve been wandering around for an hour!

look for the sewers, then stab some rats click them a bit, loot them /loot, then sell the items to harnquist /sell.

if you are feeling adventurous you could head off to east akkaio and look for rats in the warehouse, you might have more luck there.
