Which is the current state of skills?
« on: July 20, 2005, 09:11:41 pm »
The players guide say than certain skills are inactive. Is that list up to date? At the forums I have seen than people told of some of those skills like they are currently usable.

P.D. Have you notice than English is not my native languaje? ;-)

i have no idea of that list is up to date, i want to know it myself

These are the skills implemented...
« Reply #2 on: July 21, 2005, 12:09:03 am »
...that I am pretty sure about (don\'t hold me to it though, this is just what I know of at the moment).

Implemented:

Agility
Strength
Endurance
Intelligence
Charisma
Will
Sword
Axe
Melee
Light Armor (bugged for some people though)
Crystal Way
Dark Way
Red Way
Blue Way
Azure Way
Brown Way
Mining

I think the rest are not implemented. You can still theoretically train in most of them (cannot practice), but it\'s a waste of trias. (I did this a long time ago with shield handling and body development).

If there are any I forgot, please post. I think blacksmithing, all the crafting ones and knifes & daggers (there was a rogue with a dagger I saw in the dungeons) are next to be implemented from what I have heard, but I would be interested to hear what Talad and other devs have to say.

Hope this helps,

Xirius

I think you are meant to find this information out yourself, by going around training things and finding out what happens... but the list above seems to be pretty correct.

Why would they be supposed to find it out for themselves?  It isn\'t something that it is supposed to be kept secret or not spread like other game details (quest info, etc).

Hiding that what skills are not implemented is wrong IMHO.
They must be listed.

Indeed. With a quest it\'s the thrill of finding it out. Finding the right trainers I feel the same, but what skill works or not isn\'t part of the game and people should be helped to work around these unfinished parts as good as possile to reduce unneeded annoyance.

I always think it\'s kinda sad to see a new player work hard and waste tria becuase he didn\'t know shields didn\'t work.

True, hiding what\'s not implemented will leave new players angry or frustrated. Solving puzzles would be fun but finding that what is implemented and what is not is a bad dream.

Im quite new 2 this game, since 2 days and havn?t had time 2 play it so i have a question i can?t find answear on anywhere even when i search for it...

1.when you die, does it happen something 2 your stats, for example you lose some skillpoints or knowledge or something??

2.Oh, and a nother thing, is the way from the death kingdom a very long way?? hours of walking etc before getting back up?

Eternity: there\'s no penalty for dying yet, it may be in future.
and the way out of death realm is a mystrey which you\'ll solve when you die actually.  :)
