you\'d sooner find me making a monkey dance to a little jukebox on the corner of crack street so i can buy me 5 minutes of internet time in a cafe then leave planeshift just because of power levellers wipes and bug fixes :|

wipes of databases will push away power levellers, they wont want to do it all over again, you can\'t \'wipe\' a community, you cant \'reset\' a roleplay, its all in the mind, that part will never leave, nor will i

yeah but reality tells a different story. look just how many guilds left or disband since the devs had the silly idea to announce the wipe withouth actually doing it. at the moment, ps is only attractive to guild and community builders, which are not so much depending on the game itself \'cause they have enough to care about elsewhere (making websites, forming guilds, chatting, art and so on). of course, in the case of bloodclaw inc. this might be not so true - they had a fine website, where quite active in the URPS but disband anyway. i guess they suffered also an increase of inactive players due to the announced wipe.

there is more to find than you can lose...

people come and go, guilds are created and disbanded anyway, really its nothing to do with the wipe, just please stop going on like the wipe and what the dev\'s decide to do ruins everything, because, in reality its actually the word of mouth from people like you and other forms of negativity that push the community away, now dont take this as a personal attack, lots of people do it, and it just doesnt help

I\'m amazed that people think the wipe had any influence on guilds disbanding. It\'s a completely illogical concept, unless the said guild was a guild of powerlevelers that were angered at the thought of losing all their precious little numbers. Wipes happen in every single game in development, and players in every single game of this sort manage to find ways to deal with it. Those who leave because of the wipe are probably not the sort of people we would want to keep within the community anyway, because of what such actions show about the mindset of the people.

Really, arguing over the \"fairness\" of this is a silly idea. And 2  years before the wipe? Even sillier ;)

this wipe-threads pop\'s up once a week, soi thought that we may dicuss it under diffrent point of view.

So, some people will profit, some will not. That\'s as it is everywhere. Some will be stronger, some will be weaker, the rich are getting richer and the poor stay poor. Like it has been, like it will be.

The wipe will take place, and it has to take place, no way around. So, ( and again a refrerence to the hippy-culture ) we have to go through this togehter. Those of us, who will not benefit, should stand united. We don\'t need heroes, we don\'t need millionaires.  May those, who will benefit, are not the ones to blame. Maybe no one will be to blame. Maybe we can solve this in a way, better then all the events recorded in history.  Just another challenge for the whole Yliakean Community to show everyone else how to stand as one in time of trouble.

Wow what did I start here.  Thanks for your post.  Shocking about this info of yours and these wipes have happened before.

Hmmm.  Figures you have to wipe your hands before and after you use the \"can\" I mean in PS?  I guess PS outhouses get messy fast? 8oD

I also doubt powerlvlers will run away from these wipes.  Most have uber overbloated egos so hand wiping is common for them. lol

I was minding my own business one day when I herd a rumour about \"Training\".  No Not training how to wipe your +*%$, but the kind of training let say large # of rats to follow your wonderful music flute to the nearest noobie lvling.  Then watch what happens when the music stops hehee.  If you get my meaning. ;op

I miss EQ uber trains.  Even Merdian 59 for us older gamers!

i agree with you. im personaly not going to play the game until the wipe sooo in my spare time im going to learn how to code how to use photoshope and how to rp better. I have been following this game ever sense you could only walk around and talk. Just beacuse a char wipe with only fighting stats dont bother me. And if the wipe is to go on for more than 2 years then i will learn something else that can help the devs get a more complete game. :)

A wipe thread that\'s lasted 2 days! Moogie must be busy! LOL

As a self-confessed Power Leveler Let me explain something to you about us. We won\'t go away just because we have to start another new character from scratch. We are PLers and we have no life. All the wipe will mean is we start over without making all the mistakes we made the first time and knowing a lot more about how to level up faster this time around. Besides I heard that the graphics will be better after the wipe, and the only thing us PLers like better than pwning noobs and bragging about how we can kill a rat with one blow is better graphics. ooh pretty!

The only way to get rid of Power Levelers is to completely take out ANY reward system of ANY kind of points or items or bragging rights. Period. No Progression Points, no Experience percent, No Stats, No Dueling Points, No Advisor Points, No Most number of hours My UberLeetMageDude has been standing around in the blue corner of the background while I\'ve been at school picking my nose bragging rights. Nada, Nix, Nothing. And oh by the way, the MB\'ers who get to carry their Crystal money over after the wipe are PLer\'s. I\'m sorry but if you get to brag about how many more crystals you picked up than than all the other leet Crystal Picker Uppers, you are a PLer. Cmon, say it with me; \"My name is CrystalPickerLeetDude and I, I\'m a Power Leveler! Oh and I\'m working the Anti-Crystal Picking PL\'er 12 step program faster than any of you losers!\"

Kid yerself all you want, after the wipe there will be more PLers not less.  And it will still be fun to play PS.

And until someone figures out how to incorporate AD&D  Dungeon Master style content and adventure into these MMORPG\'s, quests, guilds, groups, online and/or in-game friends, GM\'s, Devs, etc., NOTHING will change them from being about who has some type of the MOST bragging rights.  Call it what you will, if you like to brag about how yer RPG skills are better than my RPG skills, friend, you are a PLer! LOL

What are you like 3 years old? To my knowledge \"potty humor\" isn\'t funny anymore. So sad.

Anyways, as for me, I too am looking forward to the wipe. Since I am a \"pure\" wizard, I need glyphs to do any combat. I sold them all to sponsor the Festival of Yliakum. I have no money. I have no glyphs. I have no fun.

Terribly sorry my young friend. I\'ve killed enough clumsy fools for today. Perhaps I could fit in a brain-frying next week if you\'re interested.
