When I press the button \"connect\", it says that I have a problem in the database of my account. What can you tell me about that??

There\'s a sticky thread specifically for that problem.  Check it out here : http://www.planeshift3d.com/wbboard/thread.php?threadid=4778&boardid=17&styleid=2

Hey! I was looking through the problems that happened while I was connecting and it says \"can not find skills.png\" Is there a way I can get this w/o having to re install?

Just in reply to those who are having initialisation problems, i have finally fixed mine. I bought 512mb 333DDR ram and it loads with in 10seconds into the world.

I would personally not advise anyone to run lower then 512 RAM for playing planeshift.

1. My game locks up when I connect. It just says \"Initializing world\" but Windows says it is not responding!

This is ok. On some machines, Planeshift believes it needs to recalculate the lighting, which can take up to 2 hours the first time you run. If you let it run to completion, it will load quickly every time after that.

hmm, I wait for some time... Program exits with no messages, just closes... In safe mode it disconnects me from internet, saying \"server link is dead\", but the reason of this trouble is inside program.
I think that I won\'t use it anymore if I don\'t get solution for these troubles.

I am using Celreon 600/128 Mb(PC100)/Asus V3800 Pro(NVIDIA RivaTNT2 Pro) 32Mb DirectX 9.0b  Omega Drivers the Lastest version/WinXP Pro

Anarki: Most likely problem is your lack of RAM.  Generally speaking, most people need at least 256 MB of RAM to play Planeshift, especially with Windows XP.  As the game starts to allocate all the memory, it probobly bombs out when it runs out.

But if I\'ll install Win98... Will It work? Or maybe I need more memory anyway?

Please, 128MB ram is WAAY too low these days.
Look at new comps, they have 512 at least.

Memory sticks are cheep (Unless you have RAMBUS like me, 200 - 300$ for 512 MB :O) and very easy to put in

umm...i\'m not sure if this has already been asked (i just finished reading through this thread) but i\'ll go ahead anyway ^^;;

I can get the client to work up to \"Initializing World\", but wait, I\'m not going to ask why it takes forever.  I already read that it would take up to 2 hours.

So I wait for it to fix up the lighting and stuff, but after about a minute the music starts skipping and then I get an error that says-
\"psclient.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.\"
Then it asks if I want to send an error report to Microsoft, and I click Don\'t Send.  After I do that, my computer lags forever and then PlaneShift closes itself.

So does anyone know what the problem is? I\'ve been trying to play PS for about a year now (yes, a year e_e)and I\'ve switched from Windows 2000 to Windows XP (and it still won\'t work).  I would really like to play :D

Thank you, Zuki/Cheriye

Could you post your computer specs Cheriye? It may help to see what the problem is.  (CPU, RAM, Video card would be useful pieces of info).

where can i find the video card name other than in the System Properties because my computer yells at me when i try to look at it (WMI has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.) ;-;
