This happens to me too! I don\'t wait an hour though. I press ctrl+alt+delete and then it says it\'s not responding. I think it has something to do when we first connected. That\'s what I read somewhere in a different forum.  :rolleyes:

When i play this game it is lagging like crazy i\'m not sure if others have the same problem but when i try to play i could barely move my character! And as soon as i dropped into the dungeon i could move or chat at all, i had to stay in the same place while i see tons of other characters moving freely with ease, can anyone help me? ;(

Hey i have trouble logging in my on my computer:

1.8ghz
512mbram
geforce2mx-400
Windows Xp
Broadband DSL

I have no trouble installing or starting the game and all the files and checksum is the right ones but when i try to upload or connect to my character it says like this:
the server is not running or nonreachable visit planeshift website for more info.

i have my firewall DEACtivated and im trying to logon to
the server called: planeshift.fragnetics.com

PLZ HELP ME!!! i`ve had this problem over a week now!

Waahlord > Try running the Updater.exe in your Planeshift folder, and see if you can get the game updated to some newer version (That usually fixes alot of problems).

WinXP Pro (Czech version), PII 500, 128 RAM

Plz, help someone. I have problems with library MSVCR70.DLL. When i launched a client, error window appears with message (translated from Czech language): \"Entry point of __iob_func could not be found in dynamic linked library MSVCR70.DLL.\" I tried to ruin it in Win95, Win98/ME modes, i tried to overwrite library with the one on web (known bugs list), but nothing helps...  ;(

I still keep getting the \'there was an error in your database, please  contact an admin\' or whatever error even tho i changed the compatability, used the right server and closed my firewall. I get that error then it dumps me to my desktop. How the heck do i get the thing to work?!

Hi again...

i didnt see a little difference...

the error is in library msvcR70.dll,
library in known bugs is msvcP70.dll

plz, where can i download right version of MSVCR?

This is what shows up in the DOS window just before the Planeshift Safe (Slow) Mode starts up.
It doesn\'t appear to affect the game any- but then again, it\'s given me this error every single time, so mayhap I don\'t even know how the game is supposed to look.

Is this a problem I should be worrying about or should I just leave it?

amd 1700xp
1024 ddr ram
gf4 mx 440
adsl 512 kps
dont know hwat i can do to reduce lag

I just downloaded PlaneShift, and when I entered the game, I heard a sound, and a white screen with 3 jewels appeared. I clicked on the blue one, (I think it\'s the character creation), and then I saw lots of small arrows on a white screen. What\'s happening?

alright heres the problem i downloaded the 5 things that the open me first thing alright and when i get the installer it doesn\'t work it gives me this odd error and says i should use a command called /ncrc or something but it says its not recomended what should i do this game looks realy koool and i want to play HELP

Each time i try to download a part, it ends at 3MB. I dont have a download manager, but I have marketscore acellerator plugin. how do I get rid of it? is it the problem?

Ok, I tried logging in a bunch of times and i finally got a glimpse of the game. Looks awsome. But, thats all i got.
The game lagged awful and i had to shut down the program. Plus, I get this message sometimes in the bottom right corner of windows XP. Ahem:

Windows-Virtual Memory Minimum Too Low
Your system is low on virtual memory. Windows is increasing the size of your virtual memory paging file. During this process, memory requests for some applications may be denied.

Any ideas? Next time I log in, I would like to actually be able to move. O, another thing. I logged in when it was raining. I have heard thunder causes lag, but man. My computer nearly froze. Confused... ?(

Hey, i\'m new and it freezes when it says it\'s loading the world. I know you said it\'s calibrating lights or something but if it is, then how come when i hit ctr alt del, it says that the program hasn\'t been responding? is there anyway to do this without waiting 2 hours?

Well, when i finally get past the loading world part,
 I move around fine for a few minutes and then it freezes. Windows task manager says the program is not responding. So, in some feeble attempt to actually make the game work, I sit there for far more than 2 hours. It still says PS isn\'t responding and all that jazz.
 Thus the vicious cycle repeats itself..
