*Sigh* ...Can\'t you use your initiative? There are so many \"I can\'t connect!\" threads floating around in this forum- just run a search and see. There\'s alot of possible causes (and their solutions) for this particular error, so look around.

I downloaded all of it and it says \"NSIS ERROR Installer incomplete or corrupted This could be the result of a failed download or corruption from a virus If desperate, try the /NCRC command line switch (NOT recommended)\"

Nano: When you read \"This could be the result of a failed download or corruption\", what does your brain tell you?

Here\'s a clue: Download it again. :P

Proxy
« Reply #97 on: September 16, 2003, 06:05:29 am »
I\'m new here and maybe I could be asking again a question that was already answered. Although I searched the forum with diferent keywords and all I got was a lot of questions with no answer.

The problem is that I can\'t connect. The case is that I use proxy server here and the game can\'t get through.

Is it possible to use proxies and, if it is, how can I do it?

It can be any kind of proxy, http, https, socks 4, socks 5 ....

Thanks

Assembler installer.bat not working
« Reply #100 on: November 20, 2003, 05:10:13 am »
Run_me_1st.bat not working

Click start-->Run, and type in  \"command\", at the dos screen  type in your path to the directory you saved the 5 20MB(approx) files in for Planeshift.
ie: cd c:\\downloads\\games\\Planeshift

type dir/w, to see a list of the files in the directory, to verify you are in the right place.
You know it\'s right, if you see all 5 of the following files:
PSV0.2.010.Part1
PSV0.2.010.Part2
PSV0.2.010.Part3
PSV0.2.010.Part4
PSV0.2.010.Part5

If you see all 5 files, then type this on the command line:
copy /b PSV0.2.010.Part1 + PSV0.2.010.Part2 + PSV0.2.010.Part3 + PSV0.2.010.Part4 + PSV0.2.010.Part5 PlaneShiftV0.2.010.exe

use same spacing, and only hit enter when you\'ve typed the entire thing

Also Having Problems
« Reply #103 on: December 15, 2003, 02:41:12 am »
I downloaded all 5 Parts as well as the Assembler, ran the Assembler and then double-clicked the PlaneShiftV0.2.010.exe on to get a message saying that there was an error, and that the files were corrupt. So I re-downloaded another set of all 5 files and the Assembler from the Secondary download sites and still am getting the same error when trying to run the final PlaneShiftV0.2.010 executable. Could someone check these downloads out for us. There may be a problem from the downloader\'s end and not ours. I can\'t think of what else to do and am getting desperate to join....

Oopps... I just read a previous post that Keldorn offered in helping us with this problem. It seems I may be getting corrupt files because I did indeed use Download Accelorator. That said, I appologies for not having read this posting first and shall go back and try again downloading the client files using IE\'s built in downloader. :)

Thank you for your patience, hope I haven\'t added to the frustration of another \'newbie\' question :)

Not at all Astasia, you\'ve only made 2 posts and I\'m already stunned by your excellent attitude. :] The world needs more of your kind, let me tell you.

If it still says the file is corrupt, go to the Downloads page of the main website and scroll to the bottom, where you will find the MD5 signature checker tool. Download this and use it to check each of your part files for inconsistencies with the signatures shown on the page. Redownload only the part files that are corrupt, save downloading every single one again.

Alternatively you could try downloading the pre-compiled .exe file, which can be found here.

Let us know how you get on with that. :)
