account verification

This is probably a stupid question...but I registered and all that stuff then got the verification email for my account.  When I go to the link, I choose a password and enter it, then I get a message saying \"Your account is NOT validated\" or something along those lines (in red print).  Does it take time to be validated or did I not do something/do something wrong?

Instead of clicking the link, type the verification code yourself and it should go through fine.

I\'m really sorry, not exactly sure what you mean...The link doesnt work, so I type in the full address that it says, then I get sent to a page with two boxes. The first says to type a password then the second says \'retype password\'. I do that then click the button that says \'set password\' and that page with red print comes up...If anyone knows what this means and/or what I gotta do I\'d greatly apreciate your help.  

Edit: I\'m not sure if i did something differently, or what i did, but i finally got it to work after a day or two.

Using the emailed link and setting up my password, the answer is \"account NOT verificated\" in red.

...it\'s ok, the server verified my account and it\'s now validate.
