Character appearance
« on: August 02, 2005, 04:11:34 am »
Hello everyone, i just have a few questions about my characters appearance...

~While on the creation page with the race selection n all that good stuff, i noticed that i can\'t change my characters features. Is it that i\'m doin somethin wrong or is it just not implemented yet?

~The male and female model of the Klyros race look exactly the same...is the female not done yet or....? Cuz right now my character is a female Klyros wearing a loincloth with no shirt (but at least it looks like a guy...good thing too).  : P

~If these things just aren\'t finished yet, would i be able to go back and change\\fix the appearance once they are? If not, no biggie, i\'ll just make a new character, i was just wondering.

The character customization is very limited at the moment, but new skins are being worked on and will be included in future updates. Same goes for character models :) Most likely (not said with true certainty) there will be wipes or chances to change your character\'s appearance without starting over, when a large mount of skins are introduced.
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

I\'m new here (obviously) and I was wondering
When I open up my equipment I see that I have slots with gear in, sword shield, that sort of thing, are these really empty and just guides to where I should put things.

I\'ve noticed people with weapons in hand walking around, while I have none. When I went into the sewers I attacked a Gobbo (?) and killed it but I had no weapon, does this mean i stupidly attacked it with my bare hands.

long story short, is the only gear I have to start with, the clothes I wear?

cheers

I\'m not doing a lot at the moment just exploring, even in this construction stage i\'m enjoying it, can\'t wait for the update

cheers again

Yes, i do believe that those slots are empty, and the pictures are just a guide to show you where certain types of items go, such as you put a shield in the slot that has that little pic of a shield in it, like you said.

also, your character does start out with just their clothes, you were going in the right direction with that as well. ; )

as you fight and get money you just buy some armor and weapons and equip them and so on.

BTW, good job on killing the gobble with your bare hands...i was lost in the sewers my first time down there exploring, one came up n started beatin me up. : (
i was almost dead, so i was runnin away from it backwards all the way through the sewers...mustve looked funny from other ppl\'s point of view... x-D

Richard Siddall: Gobbles don\'t give weapons in loot they just give some 3 or 4 trias rarely. That\'s only until coming update. See MainSite for more info on update.

Definately fighting with empty hands. Kill rats and telufans(I guess the spelling is right) for teeth until the updates for the items is in place, hopefully after this wipe. One person did tell me my sword was in the wrong hand though when I had it in the sword place. I do not know if he was a noob or not.

It doesn\'t matter in wich hand you are holding the sword. You will hit with both hands aslong as you have fighting items equipped (that includes fists). If you equip a non fighting/defensive item (mug:P/shield) you will only hit with one hand. The only thing you MUST equip in the right (and that means left) hand is the rock pick. Equip it on the right and you can\'t mine.
