Signed. Keeping a database like that is just going too far. It won\'t make any significant difference to security because any terrorist will make sure their conversations can\'t be read/heard/whatever, as well as it being almost impossible to filter out a terrorist\'s corrispondance from the rest of Europes.

Imo, its only centralising what your governments probablly already doing... though I dont live in europe, so it isnt really much of my concern.  With all the anti terrorism stuff going on, I think its got a very good chance of going through.  Well, we\'ll have to see..

Signed as No. 3677 \\o/
Currently still < 15000 people on the list :(
The internet is "the terrorists'" most important weapon, they say.
Wrong.
Fear is their most important weapon.
Ours is our freedom.

I signed it as well.  It makes me think of the Patriot Act.  Spying on the people in any form is not going to help them much.  And I would rather keep all the freedoms I currently have (Not a European just saying in general) and then some :).

I dont like the idea of patriotism... I think people must sign to save their freedom and maybe to save the image of their country...

Patriotism is too similar to nationalism and nationalism was the reason of our suffering during the end of the 19th and the begin of the 20th centuries... I really dispise patriotism (despising patriotism is a patriot act in my mind !  :D )

Obviously they are trying to remove another bit of privacy under the disguise of fighting terrorism. Totally signed.
