Missing Text

Well, I posted this elsewhere, but didn\'t get a response. Maybe giving it its own thread would help...

Everything works fine, up until the point where I need to create a character. Character name, gender, and stats just don\'t show up. For example, no matter what I type in for a name, the letters aren\'t visible.
Could I tell you anything about my system that would help?

Dude, I\'d kinda like to play this sometime. Sounds like fun.

How is it that that people get their questions answered only if a) the subject is vague and unhelpful and/or b) their question is unintelligible or has been asked fifty times before?
This is a rather debilitating problem, and I can\'t play the game unless I get some sort of answer.

I think the reason why nobody answers is that noone really has a clue as to what could be the problem here and how to solve it.

I sure don\'t.
My best guess would be that the game isn\'t totally compatible yet with your video card or driver.
So all i can say now is: wait till the next release, since this one still has bugs to work out.

You can take it from me that you\'re not missing all that much right now.

Someone else was having this problem at the time it was released.  I do not remember if they got it fixed ever or not.  I am asking in the dev channel today to see if anyone remembers.
