Keep maps loaded
« on: August 05, 2005, 06:37:18 am »
I noticed in pssetup.exe theres an option to keep maps loaded once they\'ve been loaded once.  However when I click it, nothing happens (i.e the box doesnt become checked, and nothing happens in game).  In which cfg file is the keep maps loaded flag saved, so I can change it manually?

I\'m having the same problem, and I have the same suspicion that the solution is to go into the file and change the value from 0 to 1 or from no to yes or something.

In psclient.cfg, change
Planeshift.Client.Loading.KeepMaps = false
to
Planeshift.Client.Loading.KeepMaps = true

Seems there is something wrong with both the buttons in setup for map settings, atleast for some windows users.

Just to tag onto the end of this thread -- the latest update appears to have enabled this option in Plane Shift Setup (making it fair game for those of us who can\'t be bothered to find lines in text files)...

...and, I gotta say, I LIKE!

Especially for those of us who, er, \"choose\" to spend a lot of time jumping to the Death Realm  :)

Saves a lot of time on subsequent \"map loading screens\".

Yes.. the only problem is if you have below 1 gig ram, after 4 or 5 maps it starts lagging real bad.
