sharpened pick???
« on: August 05, 2005, 09:53:22 pm »
After reading the forums an the subject of mining i read alot about sharpened  picks. I have been running around like crazy trying to find a way to sharpen it but to no avail. Could i get a little hint to point me in the right direction if this is indeed a thing that even exists. And before i get flamed i used the search but it showed me no answers.

pre wipe i had a master crafted pick. got it from harnquist shortly after the cb migration. i didn\'t see it for sale after that. i think it got removed fromthe salable inventory. haven\'t yet been to o-town since the wipe so there could be something there.

Not in ojaveda either :( I\'m hoping there is still a place to get one, though. Its harder to mine without a master crafted pick.

You can\'t buy them.  If you can, in the months I\'ve been playing I\'ve never found a seller.

Sharpened picks, master picks, silver falchions, rings of eternity, iglots, that agility-based dagger, the spikey shields, you can\'t get these.  You used to be able to get them from players who had them, though at really high prices.  Now that it\'s all wiped, the only way to get them is from a high ranking GM who will spawn it for you.

However, GMs will not spawn anything for you.

It is not fun if we cannot strive for what we want. You can mine without those picks. It should be fun just trying to get the gold or other ore, just for the fun of it. There is not a lot of stuff in this game, but like camping, you can rough it. You do not need to get tons of ore for a good experience and that is all the game is about experience. Experience the game.
