This is just a request to bring back the page that could be brought up that said who was on currently. It was really helpful to know quickly if your friends or guildmembers or someone you needed to meet with was online at that time.

Also, would it be possible to have access to a simple list of all registered character names?

I agree, they should put that back onto laanx.fragnetics.com. I always used to use that to see if my guild members were on, so I could roleplay with \'em.
