I think the devs should finally implement these. Of course the private would be a message to one person in case they weren\'t around, like an answering machine for a telephone.
The public would of course be able to be seen by the entire guild. This way guild leaders or other members could share some useful information that needs to be shared to the rest of the guild. The MOTD can\'t be too long so anything over a couple of lines would not be suited for the MOTD.
Why?? Because...
1)The MOTD is too short to converse information across to a guild in-game.
2) One member might need to tell another member something important or to do something (ie invite a certain player, promote a certain player, etc.)
3) It serves as a great in-game means of putting up a message to people so they can see it for a long period of time.
