The Better Console

Now as you all probably know, the new XBOX 360 is coming out this holiday season and the new Playstation 3 Spring 2006. Since I love everybody in the forums I would like to know your opinions. Should I buy the
new XBOX or wait for the PS3? I know its still some months to their launch but I need to start saving money!

Umm neither. They just made the xbox and ps2 stronger and threw in wireless controllers.

Personally, I dont think that the Revo can beat either of
the 2 other consoles. I mean the only good game for the
GC was Metroid and it doesnt compare to Halo or
Devil May Cry 3. I think that the Revo is like a PS2 with
new face, yeah you can play the great classics but were
in a new millenia and we need great new 3D games that only the new XBOX & PS3 can provide.

Metriod alone is better than almost any game released on the xbox or ps2. Halo was VERY repetitive with the combat, I don\'t know what people saw in the game. Halo 2 was just a sword and 2 weapons... nothing new...
Devilmay cry has gone downhill since the second one...

Zelda: The wind waker was probably the best game I have ever played right after Zelda: the ocerina of time. Nintendo never fails to be original with their new games. For example in the new zelda game link will be able to turn into a wolf.
On the other hand their games like GTA and Halo that change like 2 things and throw it out there for people who don\'t know better to buy.
Metriod beats the other games because 1/2 the time you don\'t know what you\'re doing or what you\'re supposed to do. Then when you finally come up against a boss the combat turns into the funnest thing ever.

So, please, tell me. Why can the xbox and ps3 offer \"great new games\" and the nintendo can\'t. Because if adding 2 handed weapons and a sword to a game then throwing it out there as #2 is the great new games you\'re talking about, I\'ll stick with nintendos old games that have something completely new with every release and add a whole new twist to the game.

Same goes with the systems. Whats new about the xbox360 well lets list it:

Xbox360
 Wireless controllers
 Stronger
 New look
 Faceplates (wow)

PS3 (IT EVEN LOOKS THE SAME FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!)
 Wireless Controllers
 Stronger

Nintendo
 Stronger
 New Look
 Wireless Controllers
 Backwards Compatable with all nintendo games released before
 Free online play for all it\'s games (yes there will be an online super smash bros, look at #1 in the world it\'ll be me )
 Can still take Gamecube controllers

i have been with nintendo since snes, and im not about to leave it.
Metroid kicks all ass.
Super Smash Bro\'s melee kicks all ass
Wind Waker was _INSANE_
Resident Evil remakes were really good
And you cant deny that gamecube had the most comfortable controller

I am a Nintendo lover myself.  I games I love the most were on the Super Nintendo.  But yeah.. I will buy the Nintendo Revolution as soon as it comes out.. just hope it has a few RPGs for me .

that is my thing, rpgs, there really haven\'t been any good rpgs since the ps era, not to say all games sinc ethen suck, but alot of really good prgs were released back to back to back, now we have quality rpgs far and few in between

Well..I guess I\'ll say it....Nintendo Rocks!! I mean come on, metroid prime and metroid prime 2 kicked major butt. And Efflixi..free online for everything? \\o/ We\'ll see who gets 1st on super smash bros


Though I will also be owning a 360 because my dad is a huge TES fan and wants to get the fourth oblivion game for both pc and 360 :rolleyes:

Everything nintendo makes at least. If sega makes a game and charges monthly nintendo has no power over it.

Oh and robin I\'ve never met somone who can beat me 1v1 on super smash bros. 1 of my friends comes really really close but I still win like 75% of the time against him. And hes no pushover, I\'m the only person we both know that can beat him.

So, once the revolution comes out we\'ll see whos the best.

yeah that\'s my delima: i\'ve been with nintendo my entire life, and have always thought is had better systems and controlers (i hate those playstaion controlers, all of the buttons are in the most difficult places to reach.  the x box controler is even worse, it\'s so big and heavy, and wastes so much space with useless buttons like the black and white ones...that right there was enough for me to choose gamecube over the other 2), but i want oblivion on a console so badly!
i think maybe ill just get the revolution and then buy oblibion for 360 and borrow a friends 360 for about a month.

Actually, if you have a high end PC, Oblivion is suggested for the PC...But if you dont/cant get a high end machine, heck.

heck I still have my NES. But my question didnt include
the Revo. I want to know which do you guys think is
better between the 360 and the PS3.

I don\'t get why people want ES4 on a console. If I could choose for a game being on console or pc I would almost always pick pc.

Also, I hated the ps1/2 controller with passion. My hands are pretty big and I\'ve got long fingers so when I would hold a ps controller my ring finger would lean on the parts with the knobs that stick out. And after like 15 mins of playing a ps my ring fingers would be suffering the worst cramps.

Oh also Kixie. In my earlyer post when I mentioned backwards compatability with all the systems I was talking about the download thing. But you can still use GC discs on the revolution, and controllers, and memory cards,

Oh pretz if I had to choose between the xbox and ps3 I would get the xbox. Just becayse of ES4.
