Hmmm. Tough choice. They could both do better, in my opinion.

Now, what I wouldn\'t mind seeing was that open source console that was pitched a few years back. Like a DVD player, any company could make one, any shmo with a little knowhow and their open source game engines could have made a game. And it would have used USB controllers. Any USB controller, including mice, keyboards, flightsticks, whatever. It was to be more powerfull than any of the new systems. Too bad the project was canned.  :( I don\'t even remember what it was called anymore.

Btw, Halo is fun and all, but N64 still kicks its rump with Perfect Dark. Slap Halo\'s shiny graphics on Perfect Dark just the way it is, and you have a far superior game, hands down. And Metroid rocks forever.  :)

I reckon Xbox wil conquer cos microsoft made it and microsoft make best computers. The thing is the ps3s will have way more games with way worse quality so i reckon evryone will get a ps3. Thats wat happened befor when xbox, ps2 n gamecube all came out at the same time. Anyway, even if ps3 is bettr its still 2nd worst.

id rather have it on console so that i can bring it with me on trips and stuff (i don\'t have a laptop, and i doubt any laptop cheap enough for me could handle high end games) and my comp sucks... and i can\'t afford a better one (if i get a console, my brother and my parents will help pay for it), and finally, i\'d rather use a controller than a mouse... not sure how pc controllers are compatible with elder scrolls series anyway, i\'ve always used mouse for my games because i can\'t get pc controllers to work...

and i didn\'t know about the rev being able to play gc games, that\'s awesome! thanks for that info efflixi, definitly getting the rev now, i have alot of gc games i haven\'t beaten yet...(both metriods, pikmin 2, moh european assault, top gun...eventually the new zelda game...)

Microsoft don\'t make computers at all. They make mice, keyboards, joysticks and the Halo-box (well, you could count that one as a computer, since it\'s just a crap Celeron machine in a black box). And they tried making an operating system, but nothing good came out of that attempt. Last I heard is they are still trying though, I guess they just don\'t know when to give up and stick with making mice and keyboards :P

Devil May Cry 3.
I think that the Revo is like a PS2 with
new face, yeah you can play the great classics but were
in a new millenia and we need great new 3D games that only the new XBOX & PS3 can provide.

*laughs his ass off*
Metriod alone is better than almost any game released on the xbox or ps2. Halo was VERY repetitive with the combat, I don\'t know what people saw in the game. Halo 2 was just a sword and 2 weapons... nothing new...
Devilmay cry has gone downhill since the second one...

Zelda: The wind waker was probably the best game I have ever played right after Zelda: the ocerina of time. Nintendo never fails to be original with their new games. For example in the new zelda game link will be able to turn into a wolf.
On the other hand their games like GTA and Halo that change like 2 things and throw it out there for people who don\'t know better to buy.
Metriod beats the other games because 1/2 the time you don\'t know what you\'re doing or what you\'re supposed to do. Then when you finally come up against a boss the combat turns into the funnest thing ever.

So, please, tell me. Why can the xbox and ps3 offer \"great new games\" and the nintendo can\'t. Because if adding 2 handed weapons and a sword to a game then throwing it out there as #2 is the great new games you\'re talking about, I\'ll stick with nintendos old games that have something completely new with every release and add a whole new twist to the game.

Same goes with the systems. Whats new about the xbox360 well lets list it:

Xbox360
 Wireless controllers
 Stronger
 New look
 Faceplates (wow)

PS3 (IT EVEN LOOKS THE SAME FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!)
 Wireless Controllers
 Stronger

Nintendo
 Stronger
 New Look
 Wireless Controllers
Backwards Compatable with all nintendo games released before
Free online play for all it\'s games (yes there will be an online super smash bros, look at #1 in the world it\'ll be me ;))
 Can still take Gamecube controllers

DUDE YOU FORGOT ONE THING!!!! original games like mario, zelda, metriod, and street fighter.
KABLUMMPPP!

hmmm... i\'ll probably get the Revo and the PS3 for these reasons.  The Revo has some awesome stuff planned for it, and I look forward especially to the next SSB game(my cousin is the only person who can beat me regularly of the people if manage to face, and I don\'t lose in the original...)  On top of that I have every single nintendo console, excepting more obscure ones, like Virtual Boy, and I am missing two types of GameBoy...

The PS3, will, like the Revo be backwards compatible, and as my PS2 has just decided that it won\'t play FFIX once again, or any black disc for that matter, it can\'t stay around for long...  On top of that Square Enix hasn\'t released a good Final Fantasy game for Nintendo, excepting Tactics Advanced, since the SNES.  On top of that I have a fairly good selection of PS1 and 2 games (such as Battlefront... Yay battlefront 2 is coming out soon!  Go Lucasarts)

I am Arew Silverwing, and one day I will rule the WORLD!:D
All y\'all stick yourselves onto the board.

Id probly have to say dont buy either...Just stick with your computer :P...Game stations are good but computers have a more wide selection of games and if you like xbox games wait a year cause theyl pop up on the computer soon enough....Thats just my opinion you dont have to care :P....Also computers have alot of other intersting options coming out..Like hooking you tv to your computer by direct cable and watching your favorite shows on the computer while someone else watches theres...And if you like the show alot or if its a movie you can burn it on to a cd and keep it for ever....Also theres the internet explorer...lots of music programs ect....

I heard of xbox thinking about doing something with an internet built in but i can guarantee theres gonna be a billion problems With it cause....HEy its xbox problems were ment for that system :P......But if i had to choose because if i didnt wed all be horribly killed id say the new game cube cause of ZELDA... Plus all the other Nintendo favs remixed with coo graphics and stuff....

Man im so bored....anyways thats my opinion :P
O RLY!?

To directly answer your question, without any \'hu ha\'. my money is going into the PS3. Mostly on the basis that BioWare and Ubisoft -along with many others- are making cross platform games for the new set of systems.

I doubt that Microsoft will do very well with the educated gamers -the hardcores- given its current lack of good launch titles (Perfect Dark doesn\'t impress me and Gears of War may look good but what\'s it play like?) While the Xbox is currently surviving well with the Xbox live gig and sole property I fortell a shift away from those in the overall market.
Sony and Nintendo Corp. are both setting up Online services, having realized that that was one of the Xbox\'s major buying pros and one of their cons. While I am all about the Revolution, Nintendo Corp. is, as per usual, keeping a lid on the major details untill release. Remember the people that refused to buy the GC because they thought the controllers were either to small or looked fragile. I threw one off my roof at work and it survived the fall, that\'s what finaly convinced me that Nintendo Corp. had their engineers in line.
As for the Xbox-360 I\'m sure it will have a good amout of property that you can\'t get anywhere else but on PC. Note the PC part. If they had not bought Halo outright and made its Xbox release a full year and a half before its (much scaled down) PC release they would have had a hell of a time at launch.
I could be wrong. I have been before, and will be again but my money os on the PS3 being worth its cost ratio and the Xbox-360 having -once again- half as many games due to crazy high development costs...comparably.
I like to have options. Besides my friends and I always draw straws and share our systems (just the four of us so we know who to kill if somethin\' gets broken. Being as we don\'t live with our parents and can\'t have little brother or little sister \"accidentaly\" get at it.)

ps nintendo all the way
