Doesn\'t look half bad. :) Just make absolutely sure that the mouse and pen do not require batteries. If they do, I\'d advise passing up this one.

Most tablets do require batteries. Last I heard, Wacom was the only ones that worked without.

Did that change recently?

We\'re talking about the pen, not the tablet itself.

Whats so bad about batteries? My mouse and keyboard are wireless so they use batteries. Its not bad or anything.
And if they don\'t need batteries then they would have to be attached by a chord of some sort which would be annoyig while you draw...

that reminds me of my wireless keyboard and mouse, some little kid came to my house and they ran off with them. I found them 4 weeks later, lol.

Batteries are hellishly annoying to change all the time, especially if you don\'t have a charger. Things get expensive when you have to buy new batteries every week just to keep the thing working. My old Trust tablet\'s pen used up it\'s battery in about 4 hours of use, forcing me to buy more. If you\'re an artist, that\'s just won\'t do at all.

Efflixi: The batteryless pens/mice don\'t have cords at all, they simply work when touching the surface of the tablet.

It is as simple as just buying a recharger for those batteries.
I kind of like the wieght that the batterie gives the pen.
Put the pot down, no dont take another puff!, put it down. Thank you.

I use a Wacom-Graphire3, not their top of the range one, it is awesome, though I haven\'t used anything else to compare.

Not exactly, at least for Wacom. The pen is actually powered, but in the same way as an RFID chip. It doesn\'t need to touch the tablet, just to be close to it (very close for the Graphire\'s, not quite as close for my old PenPartner). You can actually put a plastic ruler over the tablet, and \"click\" with the pen tip against the ruler, even if the ruler isn\'t touching the tablet at all.

I would buy that wacom Graphire... but its TINY!
I would like a nice large tablet that feels like a real piece of paper, but that one is less than half the size of the Adesso
