pssetup
« on: August 12, 2005, 04:35:59 pm »
downloaded pssetup.app with updater.app, and found two problems:

 - the pssetup executable was not executable, had to change mode

 - the when I run pssetup, it crashes immediately

$ ./pssetup.app/Contents/MacOS/pssetup

to load all maps you go to psclient.cfg in the main folder and go to the bottom there next to Planeshift.Client.Loading.AllMaps = false change false to true but this feature wont even work on windows right now there is a bug but once they fix it that is how you do it

First, open Terminal (/Applications/Utilities/Terminal(.app)). In the new Terminal window, type \"cd \" (note the space after \"cd\"). Then, in the Finder, locate your \"Planeshift 3D\" folder, drag it into the Terminal window, and drop it there (text should appear after \"cd \"). Click inside the Terminal window and then press return.
type
\"chmod 755 pssetup.app/Contents/MacOS/pssetup\"
and press return.
worked for me.

Please use the updated Updater.jar in the guide thread. It will set the permission bits for you.

I think I can set my permissions, but I am saying the PS updater cannot, which should probably be fixed if that updater is supposed to be useful for people do not know about permissions:)

That may happen in the future, but for now those people can just use Updater.jar which does this for you.
