I got nothing
« on: August 15, 2005, 04:54:30 pm »
Ok, I meet requirements, I have the brand nw mac minni and the new OSX \"tiger\" if you really want spesifics, go to Mac\'s site.

I\'m having troubles recently.  Ok, I downloadd the new updater, updated all of my files, replaced my old files, and every time i click on psclient, it won\'t open. It just won\'t open, it doesn\'t crash, because it doesn\'t even open. Why won\'t it open? What can i do to fix it? (BTW, the new files are in the Plane Shift folder, in my applications.)

Read \"A guide to running Planeshift\" in the Mac-forum, it will certainly help you.

In your situation, it sounds like you\'re missing the right permissions.

O.O

I read it already... Well, looks like the only thing I can do is trash ALL my files and start over... Shouldn\'t take too terribly long.

Edit:

Well, it\'s downloading, it\'l going to take a whole 30 minutes! O.o SO SLOW! But oh well, Plane Shift is worth it.

Wrong permissions mean you should do the part of the guide with chmod. Not downloading again, that\'s unlikely to fix them.

Maybe you should look at the guide once more :)

Maybe this problem could be described in more datail in the guide or a separate thread. People seem to miss it all the time..

Were you logged in as an admin? The new Updater.jar sets permission bits for you, but ONLY if you\'re an admin.
