Help! unexpected error?

Help!   I just created a char and im new but i understand most things but whenever i login to my char and get to the first loading screen it stopps 4/5 of the way and pops up with unexpected error!   Plz help, im really eager to play this game but i cant get on!

I really want to play as well and i keep getting the same error!  It isnt just me and you because my brother installed it on his laptop and got it as well  :S

Hopefully a GM or someone will see this and fix it in the next patch

This is reeeeeeeeeeeeally annoying me now because i just uninstalled Planeshift and then reinstalled it and I STILL got this damn error!!!!!!
Can someone PLEASE help or give some suggestions???

Have you tried turning the sound off in the PS setup? Mine\'s wouldn\'t work until I turned the sound off.

Just pay a visit to this website http://command.no-ip.com/dmp/ when you have these troubles (or use the search function of the forum).
Anyway, from what the website says, the problem is sound related so please, disable sound in pssetup.exe (Start->Programs->Planeshift Crystal Blue->Planeshift Setup) and it should work.

I get the same problem. Question: Where does it say that it dumps these files or what ever they are? I mean.. I didn\'t know there were more than one of these access violation numbers.. heh. ?(

From what I remember when it crashes it says the problem and then it asks if you want to save a diagnostic file. If you press yes, in your /planeshift crystal blue/ directory (or wherever you have installed PS) you should have the .dmp file.

Each access violation number identify a specific problem.

I disabled the sound and it still gives me that error. What else should I do?

BloodyScreams, you can edit your messages and write more content in just one message, instead of writing 3 :-)

anyway, go to this website
http://command.no-ip.com/dmp/
and send the .dmp file
if there will be some progress on the issue you will know.
Be sure you have updated your client !
