And, now that I have some time, here\'s what you need to know about VanGuard, at least for the moment...
We are a neutral guild, somewhere between lawful and chaotic.
Our goal in the land of Yliakum is gain power for ourselves, and help others when we feel like it. We are honorable, to an extent, and do not allow dueling in the Plaza.
Before we can actually begin in earnest again, I\'ll need at least four people who are willing to join the guild, preferably in GMT-5 or GMT-6, that way I can speak with you, because, as you know, all guilds with less than 5 members has been wiped. I will begin working on getting the 20,000 Tria I need to reopen the doors to the Hall, and due to the semi oligarchial structure to the VanGuard I cannot ask or require anyone else to give me money to rebuild the guild, but donations will not be turned down ;P In other words, the VanGuard will not die, but we\'ve been buried alive for the time being. We will return triumphantly to the land of Yliakum!
Our government is a rather loose republic/oligarchy. (Sounds wierd don\'t it?). The three leaders of the guild make the final decisions, but we will listen to the opinions of the others, and usually go with it. Who are the other two leaders? At this time that is unknown. Hopefully it will be Ganga and Remvak, and if they show back up they will take presidence over whoever else may have assumed that position.

Our story is a simple one. There was a time in Yliakum\'s history when some where powerful and the rest were weak. During this time Lord Remvak and his trusted ally Ganga decided that it was time to create a team of true power, able to take down the greatest of enemies. Thus was VanGuard formed. I was brought into the guild as a Lieutenant, where I then helped Lord Remvak to recruit new Yliaki and to work in the mines to outfit our people. After the strange... whatever it was... that caused many of the Yliaki to lose their memories and even their possesions, Lord Remvak and Commander Ganga have not been seen in our beautiful land so it falls to me as the third highest ranking member to prepare the guild for Lord Remvak\'s glorious return. If he does not return I am prepared to continue my role as Lord Arew. The more members called to the path of the VanGuard, the more power we will bring around ourselves. A cloak of might if you will. For this reason, the VanGuard will never cease to grow and evolve, and one day we will truly be on the forefront of life in Yliakum.
