Display sleep bug
« on: August 17, 2005, 07:58:32 pm »
Hello,

I just updated to .011 and the update went very smooth. I could log on and got to character creation and everything goes fine.
However I had the display sleep timer on my Powerbook set to 1 minute and left the computer for a while.
When I came back and wanted to wake the display it didn\'t, it just remained black. I waited for half an hour and had to reset the system (command-ctrl-power).
Would you like me to post the console log for this ?

Does it happen repeatedly?

It may be that the machine locked up for a completely unrelated reason.

Such things happen, unfortunately.
Observer .. or watcher?

I tried several times again, and each time it happens.
I guess it is a CS problem handling the display sleep event.
I didn\'t see anithing in the console either though.
Well I guess it is not a major problem, I will just set my display sleep to longer.

OsX turn off alll network connection when the computer go to sleep mode.

A solution is just turn off the screen but nothing for the rest.

Look this article :
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=25801

And slide at never the option:
\"Put the computer to sleep when it is inactive\"
