login to play game

g\'day there i was in the process of creating my caracter (after 23 hours downloading planeshift)
and suddenly an error occurred and i got terminated...my question
how and where do i log in to play the game

I do believe you use the client to log in... hehe..

okay with some help from a very nice player i got a lot further but please understand i know less then 2% about computors then your grand dad
so please give details
maybe i should place this in the technical forum
but i get as far as loading the game
requesting world
loading world
getting characters
setting controlls
loading gui
.....than we get.......

plainshift error
exception_access_violation
at 5ed3e6b2

second notice.....

the instruction at 0x7c910f29 referenced memory of 0x0000000 could not be \"read\"
click \"ok\" to terminate program
i have used the updater today so please if any one has an idea i like to know how to make the game work
