Aruneko watched as little stars plummeted into his enemy, causing him to drop his sword.  Soon Rantal and the thug began battling feircely, until a sword suddenly protruded from the ruffian\'s chest, and he fell to the ground.  Aruneko withdrew the sword from the corpse and flashed a smile at Rantal, then rejoined the fray.

The last standing thug was fast approaching Keldorn and Xolon, licking his lips in anticipation of an easy kill. However as he looked around, he saw no friends... only three other adventurers coming at him.

Startled by the sudden turn in the battle, the Thug began to run. He was no Scholar, but the thug knew that 1 vs. 5 were not good odds.

Tegdaen ran after the thug, but his small legs did not carry him very far before he gave up.
Walking back to the rest of his party, Tegdaen said to the injured stranger,

Didn\'t I see another armoured man with you?

With his sword and Xolon as the only thing keeping him up Keldorn looked to the dwarf who was now almost as tall as Keldorn since he wasn\'t able to lift himself up to his full length.
You must mean Dakotah. I ... don\'t know. One minute we were battling these thugs and the next .... i lost sight of him. I am a failure, first i let the Corst family who we swore an oath to protect to be murdered by those thugs and now ..... now i lose my most dearest friend. I am not worthy to be called a Knight.  With this he closed his eyes and was obviously experiencing great pains from the wound in his knee which was starting to bleed even more.

ooc: if dakotah shows up he can still join in but i guess we will have to find him again (or he finds us). if he doesn\'t, well then we just lost him.

Aruneko saw that the last thug had fled, and went to see who he had just helped rescue.  He listened to the stranger\'s explanation of Dakotah\'s disappearance.  Then, noticing Keldorn\'s wounds, he said, \"Man, you have some serious injuries there.  You can finish introducing yourself once you get some help.\"  Without waiting for a response he ran back to get his pack of supplies at the Bronze Doors.

Rantal watched the last thug flee. He tried to catch up to him, but it was pointless to chase a person about 25 meters away and still running in darkness. He didn\'t like the fact that this last thug was still alive. He could get help, and that was something they surely didn\'t want to do. Rantal walked over to the knight. He saw Aruneko running back, probably to get healing stuff. He shook his head. Didn\'t anyone know he was a mage? Rantal muttered a spell, and soft blue wind danced around the knight, and the knight\'s knee was partially healed. All that remained was a small trickling of blood going on and a rather large bruise. Rantal asked, \"Greetings, sir knight. I am the mage Rantal. Who might you be?\" Rantal said to everyone else, \"Well, grab some loot! We did win the battle, after all.\"

OOC: There are several daggers and a few swords on the ground. It\'s all for the taking!

Aruneko came back with a pile of bandages in his hands, then, seeing that it was already healed, he walked back once more to his pack.

Keldorn tried stretching his leg. Though he did feel some minor pain most of his wound was healed. Keldorn sighed as he raised himself up. He looked at Rantal and said; \"I am known as Keldorn, Protector Knight in the Knights of Aramur order. And may I thank you for coming to my aid for if you had not I would surely not have been standing here.\"
Keldorn looked around and then focused back on Rantal again; \"I have heard about the town of Yliakum sending out a party to investigate the matter with the Crystal. Might I be right to assume that that party would be you?\"

Rantal replied, \"Ah yes, that would be us. We were just getting started when we saw that you were being attacked by thugs. Since you were obviously losing, and thugs are thugs, we decided to help you against them. Actually, we were forced to when Tegdaen,\" Rantal motioned to him, \"just flew down and started attacking. Would you like to help us for the sake of the Blue Sun, Sir Keldorn?\" Rantal was shifting himself uncomfortably, waiting for the reply, but eager to get the loot. He really needed a good melee weapon right about now.

Tegdaen preffered to stay out of idle chit-chat, and so started to rummage through the fallen thug\'s packs.

He tossed out a few weapons and useless items, but kept nothing for himself.

He then went and cleaned his axe, gathered his things and was ready for departure.
While standing around waiting for the others, he spotted a pair of leather gloves. He went and grabbed them and tried them on. They didn t fit because of the size of the thug they came from.
Perhaps I can sell them later.
Tegdaen added the gloves to his pack.
He walked with a slight limp from his fall from the Pteresaur, but it was nothing to worry about.

\"You are proposing that I assist you in this quest? I would not dare to say nay to this. It is my duty as a Knight to help those that ask it of me. Maybe this way I can redeem my previous failure.\" With this Keldorn smiled and said just two words to Rantal; \"Thank you.\"

Aruneko had returned in time to hear Keldorn\'s final response.  \"Well then, welcome to our little expedition!  I am sure that you will be of great help to us.\"  After chatting a while with the newest member of the group, he went over to the thugs\' bodies and picked up a few sacks he saw lying around.  He grinned as he heard the jingle of coins as he picked it up.

Rantal said, \"Well, welcome to our party, sir Keldorn! We could use plenty of help to repair the Crystal!\" Finishing his welcome with a bow, Rantal started looking for some loot he could steal from the thugs. He spotted a small rusty dagger, which he took, and a leather helmet, which he also took. Fitting the dagger into his belt and putting his helmet on, he twirled his staff, missed catching it, and bent down to pick it up. He then began searaching the other thug\'s bodies.

Keldorn also walked over to some of the bodies, but after searching them he found nothing that could be of use to him. Though he did wonder why he didn\'t find any money on them. He was sure of it that the thugs had stolen some from him before he was attacked by them.
Then he heard rinkling of coins and looked to his side. Aruneko was playing with his new found treasure, a few bags of tria and stones.
Let him have it, Keldorn thought to himself. He obviously needs it more then me.
Keldorn walked away from the bodies. He didn\'t like to be around so much death.

Aruneko sorted through the bags.  He counted 100 tria and 25 stones.  \"Hey, I found 100 tria and 25 stones!\" he yelled out to the group.  \"Who\'ll carry them?\"
