Tegdaen joined Keldorn and Rantal and began to search the dark for a place to head next. Tegdaen didnt have very good vision in the dark, and was growing impatient waiting for the others.

If only someone had a torch or light spell...

While waiting for the others Keldorn said; \"Tagdaen, you mentioned a map being given to you. We should consult this map to determine where we should head, when we get out of here. And be sure to keep it in a safe place, i do not fully trust certain new companions.\" Keldorn glanced into the direction of Fiere, then focused back on Tagdaen again.

\"And yes, we will also need some light if we\'re going to progress any further into these labyrinths. Rantal, you\'re a mage, can you create light with your staff?\"

Fiere walked towards the pair hunched over a the map. In the murky darkness she could see them clearly as though they stood directly beneath the crystal.

\"I can see perfectly without the light, if you would like I could scout ahead.\" Her eyes gleamed in the blackness as she approached Rantal and Keldorn.
She looked directly at Keldorn with a half smile sliding her delicate mouth to the right.

\"I have excellent hearing as well.\"

Noticing the others wondering off down a tunnel Pheonix sheathed his knife watching the diobli walk away with a certain grace that made him want to keep watching. Shaking his head he rose to follow her into the tunnel focusing his eyes on the group a little ahead of him....not that he was avoiding looking at the diaboli mind you.....all the same he thought he would avoind looking at her too long as she seemed to have and affect on him that might well cost him life if he was not caeful.
When Pheonix finally caught up with the group the dioboli was offering to scout ahead, while the others complained about light. Smirking a bit he thought about letting them know about his knowledge of an illumnation spell.....looking at the dwarves in the party he changed his mind, better to let the wee men stumble in the dark, as for himself why he could see perfectly fine in the dark.
Pheonix\'s ear twitched as he heard the very light sound of someone moving from the direction they came. He thought to himself the winged one is tallented, but I\'ve known better.

Pheonix began checking the string on his bow waiting for the others to decide what they were going to decide to do about the darkness that did not exist for him.

Keldorn looked Fiere straight in the eyes, \"Well, then I might as well say it to your face. I don\'t trust you. If you want my trust, you have to earn it.\"
Keldorn thought for a moment and said; \"Now then, you can have a chance to prove it, you may scout ahead. But I warn you, do not betray us!\"
Keldorn looked into Fiere\'s face, which was still smiling at him, it was as if she didn\'t care what other people thought of her. She must have gotten used to people not trusting a diaboli.

\"Even though I am a mage, I\'m afraid I have little knowledge on how to cast spells related to light. The little knowledge I do have, however, does not include casting spells like Light,\" said Rantal, and continued, pointing at Pheonix, \"Why don\'t you ask the old smirker over there for light?\"

Rantal then turned to Fiere and siad, \"Well, you may scout ahead, if any danger lurks nearby, shout out and lure them here so we can finish them off easily. Don\'t look for me for anything, I don\'t think I\'m the leader of this group.\"

Turning to the two dwarves, Rantal said, \"I thought Dwarves could see perfectly well in the dark. But then again, one of you might be too old...\" Rantal couldn\'t help but grin at Xolon\'s white beard.

Turning to the party in general, Rantal said, \"Well, I can see well in the dark, as I\'m a Lemur, so that\'s why I didn\'t bother researching spells that give light. I didn\'t think that I would have much use for it, but now I regret not studying that spell.\"

OOC: If Xolon.doesn\'t have a white beard, I\'ll edit.

Fiere\'s beaming visage faded into a pout but the sparkle still shone in her azure eyes.

\"I cerntainly wouldn\'t expect anything less.\" she said softly to Keldorn \"Not a proponent of blind faith myself\" she finished with her tail switching back and forth like a contented cat.

She turned to Rantal as he spoke.
\"Well I better take a a quick look ahead before we move out, it was dead silent before we ran into one another but soemhting was definately out of place. Even I felt something unnatural.\" she said looking directly at Keldorn with light laughter coming into her speech.

She stepped back into the darkness to begin her search. She didn\'t need a map for these tunnels.

Sighing loudly at the effect the sound of Fieres laughter had on him, Pheonix looked at the mage and cocked his head to the side as he said \"The things living in this place have been living in the darkness for a long time dont you think something like light might attract all kinds of unwanted attention?\"

Rantal replied, \"Either that, or the light will turn unwanted creatures away. It\'s either one of those choices, as creatures may be curious about the light, or they might stay away from the light, since they are used to darkness.\" Rantal watched as the Diaboli went off to scout ahead. \"Well, we might as well take a look at the map that was given to us...\" Rantal said, turning to look to see who had the map.

Fyre watched on as the diaboli moved ahead of the party and the elf moved up. he slid up directly behind the elf, careful not to make a noise. however, his wings fluttered once before he could make them still and Fyre saw the elf\'s ears prick, but he did not turn. as the others squatted over the map, he saw the elf\'s bowstring tantalizingly close and seriously considered cutting it just to see the elf\'s expression when he tried to pull it back. but Fyre decided against it. no matter how much he disliked or distrusted the elf, he grudgingly acknowledged his potential usefulness to the party and decided that he would do nothing to disadvantage him.........yet. Fyre slid off to the side and moved ahead of hte party, careful to stay out of the sight range of any that could see in the dark. as hte diaboli looked off into the darkness, Fyre threw a pebble as far off the side as he could. the diaboli\'s head shot toward the sound, showing the speed of her reflexes. Fyre then jumped straight up onto the tunnel\'s dark ceiling. as hte diaboli moved cautiously forward, Fyre kept pace with her, but always above, always watching.....

Fiere\'s eyes flicked back and forth across the formations in the cavern. Something was moving in the cavern that had been a short while before. Fiere stopped in her tracks. Nothing was making a sound now but Fiere had been skilled as a thief and a hunter too long not to know when she was being followed.

She chided herself for her own foolishness once again. She hadn\'t properly taken account of the entire party before heading out and now she had just given away the fact that she knew she\'d been followed to her stalker.

She moved forward again, remaining in the open, and breathed deeply the damp air. The tunnels still did not smell right but even her sense of smell was not keen enough to detect the scent of whatever had tracked her.

Another noise drew her attention sharply into focus a few yards ahead of her. She stopped suddenly once again, and slowly looked upwards...

As Fiere dissapeared into the unkown ahead, Tegdaen was busy searching through his pack for the Map given to the party by the Head council member.

He pulled thing\'s out one at a time, looking for the map that was vital to their quest. As he pulled out a long, round musical instrument, he hid it under his shirt, so as to avoid questions from the others.

Finaly, he reached a scroll scrunched into a bottom corner of his pack.

As he unravelled it, the other party members that were nearby, gathered around to look at the map.

It clearly marked where the journey would start, on the other side of the labrynth\'s, and the land that stretched beyond. It presented a land that Tegdaen had never seen before, but in some way reminded him of lands that his ancestors spoke of.

As far as getting out of the stone labrynths though, It told of nothing. They were going to have to figure that out on their own.

and saw Fyre holding himself up in the shadows. the second she began looking up, he had begun cursing with language foul enough to make the most hardened warrior blush. when she looked straight at him, Fyre dropped straight down as if to attack her. as Fiere\'s quick reflexes dropped her out of the way with a roll, she came up and noticed that the klyros was gone.......again. there was a knife stuck in the ground next to her still quivering with a note attached. I am here to observe and aid your quest. Do not attempt to attack me or reveal my presence to the party. I mean no harm.....yet, unless you do something that deserves it. Fyre watched from his new hidden position. he thought this is really getting annoying. pretty soon whole damn party will know i\'m here. i knew i should have bought a full invisibilty cloak. bah, i\'m giving out these knives like candy. sure, i\'ve got another 50 more, but i\'m gonna run out of them within a week if i lose them at this rate.  Fyre shook his head again and sank back into the murky pool of darkness.

Keldorn examined the map that Tagdaen was holding. It looked old, the edges of the wrinkled map looked like they\'d been gnawed upon by a small rodent, probably a rat of some kind. Small holes had started to emerge where the paper was getting thinner. The paper had a brownish colour and some markings had started to fade.
\"Well, looks like the people who drew this map are long dead by now. It must have been a long time since anybody ever went to this place.\"
Keldorn stroke his fingers over the map, \"I just hope nothing has changed since then.\"

Keldorn raised his head and looked in the darkness where he had seen Fiere dissapear, \"And I just hope our female diaboli is a friend indeed.\"

Rantal watched Tegdaen rummage through his stuff, looking for the map. He finally pulled it out, and looked at it. Then, Tegdaen gave it to Keldorn, who examined it in turn. Rantal was impatient to get moving on the journey, after he had taken a look at the map, of course. Right now, all he could do was look around for anything of value, which was highly unlikely. He decided to sit down on some rocks, instead of standing around, doing nothing.
