Another sword!
« on: August 19, 2005, 07:15:39 am »
Here is a sword I made in Illustrator, took about 2 hours.
If any one has some tips or links to going 3D, that would be cool, I have blender, but not very good at using it! :)

thats\'s some nice sword!
i have blender too and i suggest you start with the blade with just a cube, turn it 45 degrees, make it a sword shape(that the top 2 vertices are a bit closer to eachother than the side ones), subdivide one, delete middle vertices, then make a swort shape again but this time with a curve in it(for the smooth part of your sword), then extrude/scale extrude/scale until you reach a nice lenght. tune this so it has the shape of your sword and then start with the handle.(you can set smooth whenever you want, but don\'t do it on the edges, or else it will lose it\'s sharpness)
stich it to the blade and make the kling.(the hand protecting part)

i hope this helps, good luck!

Np Gentar. :)

Once I get a few more finished, I may start my own thread, but for now, go hard. Nice work, by the way. :)
