The Red Way of Magic...

Hi. I have one simple question. In the player guide it types that Red Way of Magic is Will based, but when i looked into game i noticed that it\'s INT based. Which is right? And what about others way\'s if Red is INT based?

Go from the information in the game, which would mean that red is INT based. As for the other ways, they are as follows:-

Crystal - Charisma based
Azure - Intelligence based
Blue - Will based
Brown - Will based
Dark - Charisma based.

Hope this clears up your query.

(the player guide has yet to be updated to match the changes made in the game, i believe)

I\'m not sure that it\'s the guide which is wrong, see, blue and brown have had int and red and azure have had will for a long time you see, it might be an error in the in-game information, I believe I asked in the #planeshift channel about this a while ago, and got the answer that it might have been a typo - althought not from a dev.

also, red way using int would seem just wrong in my opinion - intelligent people don\'t resort to brute force, which is exactly what the red way is.

I think it should be (I don\'t know how is in game):

Azure & Brown - inteligence, needs knowlege of creatures psychics(azure) and nature law(brown)
Red & Blue - needs many will to change the weather
Crystal & Dark - Charisma

If charisma ways are opposite, and inteligence and will ways are not it is not fair for people using charisma spells.

in my opinion red should be will, since it resides around drawing upon brute force, and azure should also be will since it is about forcing the enemies mind and overcoming it\'s will.

dark & crystal makes sense to be charisma

the blue way is much about gathering information, and thus should be int.

the brown way makes more sense to be will in my opinion, but since it\'s two ways for each stats, it must be int.

or, since azure resides partly around gathering of knowledge and manipulation (mindreading) it could be int and brown will, this would probably make the most sense in my opinion - but having blue be will and red be int makes little to no sense to me.

Azure & Brown - Will
Red & Blue - Intelligence
Crystal & Dark - Charisma

When I raise Intelligence and don\'t touch will, my fire blast is stronger.

If the situation is as Neryam\'s said, it\'s OK.


But if it\'s like Grindalyx\'s said, people focusing on Will or Intelligence training are in better situation than these focusing on Charisma.

Characters with strong Will can train Blue and Brown ways. Characters with brilliant Intelligence can use Red and Azure ways... And these with great Charisma cannot train Crystal and Dark ways at the same time, because like is written in Player Guide: Each Way is allied with two other Ways, and opposes one other.. Crystal opposes to Dark.

So, Blue and Red ways should be based on same mental stat, different than Azure and Brown. If now they\'re not, it should be changed(and announced) with wipe - when everyone creates his new character.
