error when updating

Hello,

since im not familar with all \"updater error threads\" im just posting mine. maybe its a new one.

after finished downloading the update a cmd box pops up and try to install the downloaded files... after a short duration of maybe 5 seconds it says this:



caz its a error spelled in german, i gues the english one would be:

\"The Process could not open the data, because its used from another process already (32)\"

either its a normal updating bug or a new one... i dont ... maybe someone knows help? i would be pleased.

You\'ve another application using the file.
Perhaps you see two updater windows running? If so close one, because this dll is from planeshift, so, for sure there are two instances of the updater running.

It is correct, it seems like the file it is used by another program, so it cannot be updated.
Check that you don\'t have any instance of the updater or even of the client.

yes, thats probably true. it says there should be a copy running in the bg, but there isnt any.  so the easiest way to fix this error is gone. atm im trying to update again. now with the update.exe -auto command but this seems to take quite a long time... jez

edit: worked. finaly playing.
