Oh, so close! S, not a z. Oh, and I don\'t cheat. That leaves a few possibilities for why you would say such a thing:
- You heard it from someone else, and are now repearing it without questioning it.
- I killed something faster than you, and you consider this a bug.
- You\'re a liar.
I\'m the most inclined to believe the first or second, and to HUMOUR your unjust accusation I will ASSUME the second.
It has only recently come to my attention that the definition of kill stealing is broader than using the arrow glitch to interupt someone else\'s attacks. Despite the continued use of the arrow glitch by many players, I have been specifically targetted by GMs for kill stealing while they go free. The further trouble however is that
I\'m not using the arrow glitch.I\'m was simply killing creatures faster than the players around me.
Is this a bug or exploit? No. Retse, Pinaste, Neeve, and originally Zayek said that competing for spawns, as long as you don\'t use a bug or exploit such as the arrow glitch, is RUDE but LEGAL.
Relatively recently, that has changed. Now, kill stealing is expanded to include the following:
Kill stealing happens under the following circumstance:
Player A has the intention of killing Monster A
Player B kills Monster A
Therefore, Player B stole Monster A from Player A
Zayek gave me this definition, though worded diferently. It comes directly from him. When I asked Retse about it, he did not say it was wrong, so I can only assume it is correct.
Since being told what kill stealing
really is, I have avoided killing creatures at spawns that already have people near to them. If that person is just standing there, not doing anything, I\'ll ask before killing it. You might think this is silly or impractical, but I have been repeatedly threatened with BANNING because of this new definition of kill stealing.
Have I been KSing? Without knowing it, yes. However, many people have been KSing using the arrow glitch -- and they continue to do it -- and no action has come to them that I\'ve seen. Have I been using a glitch? No. A bug? No. An exploit? No.
I hope this clarifies the matter, and I hope you learn
something hint hint from what I\'ve posted!
