Object Paths problem
« on: August 31, 2005, 10:15:13 pm »
I just started playing around with PlaneShift, and when I start, some meshes are showing, others don\'t seem to be there, and where there arent any meshes, the space fills up with other meshes. Like, sometimes, when your computer is slow and you are moving your mouse, you can see exactly where you just moved it because there are lots of mouse pointers all over the screen where the mouse just passed. When the game first starts, just certain meshes show up and I can see the loading picture behind them. Then, as I turn around, I can see the paths the meshes took across the screen. Is this a problem for only me, and how could it be fixed (or  how could I fix it)

P. S. It also seems like I am a couple feet underground, and I can\'t see my character. Just names and some meshes.

Thanks for your help.

it isn\'t you.

if i\'m right, and i\'m really just guessing here
it is a side effect of all 3d graphics engines. been around since doom if not earlier. it was called the hom (_h_all _o_f _m_irrors) effect. if i recall correctly it is the engine trying to add in infomation where it can\'t see that there is any. or something like that. it\'s been a while since i\'ve seen the article.

hom effect

as for the fix. wait it out. it will get fix eventually.
