1.0.2.6???? Where did you get that?
We\'re at 0.3.11 at the moment.
And try using the updater in safe mode, it might work better.

And 2 hints:
1 Write normal english.
2 Repair your caps-lock key.

Yeah, but that\'s the updater itself, not PS version number. Now I understand. Did you allready try in recovery mode?

Look, calm down. This isn\'t Ragnarok, the updater just takes a long time. We\'re too spoiled by all the speed everywhere anyway. Leave the updater running, make yourself a sandwich, and pick up a book.

Most importantly, just drop the hostility act.

Please read what ThomPhoenix posted - he suggested you run it in recover mode.

that\'s a bit weird ... 10 hours is quite much, what kind of connection do you have ? what are your computer specification ?
there\'s no place like 203.81.47.91

When i first tried to download PS, my downloader said it would take 25 hours using my 56 kps modem.   Also in another theme it said the chief problem was that the downloand might not work.   I chose not to download.  Shortly after that I looked into a deal with the local phone company and got a package with DSL in it. It took 30 minutes to download after that for 3.009.

There is no way the uptating of the updater can ever take that long. The updater is just a few MB in size, so it can hardly take an hour even on a bad dialup line, if we assume that you aren\'t running on an 386 SX 16, which we probably can.
Therefore, there must be something that is blocking almost all traffic from / to your computer. Since it managed to go to 8%, it can\'t be the usual application firewall, that would block everything so you would not get anything regardless of how long you wait.
Usually, when you are uploading something (Bittorrent, for example), this can clog up your upload pipe so that requests and ACKs for the download can\'t cet throught anymore, so maybe it\'s something like that.
Otherwise, this strongly hints at either faulty hardware, probably in the networkling part, and / or misconfiguration of the network.
