Ok, if you see Kallis or me around, just ask.... if it is Kallis say that I said you could join, k? I am dealing with a bit of personal business at the moment, but I will see to it that you get in eventually.

May I suggest looking into creating a rudimentary website and forum system? Applications would be easier to handle that way, as well as lists of members ;)
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

So much confusion in this thread... Some mention the old \"Rangers Guild\", whilst it is the former \"Rangers of Yliakum\" guild the issue here, no? :P
We really have too much rangers around here...
Oh well, I wish you more luck than your precursors :)

Ah yes the website.... It is still under construction but it is basically up, with some things I am working on in my spare time, and the Part for joining isn\'t completely ready, so just post that you wanna join, plus your experience with the game. The address is s13.invisionfree.com/rangers_of_yliakum/index.php.

To avoid further confusion, I suggest you do something with the guild\'s name, even if the former Rangers of Yliakum have disbanded. I would also recommend refining the idea a bit more, because now there\'s not much that makes you a _ranger_ guild. Anyway, as an ex-member of the former Rangers of Yliakum, I wish you luck.

Well I am honored to have your advice. ATM I am putting the guild under construction and have secretized it, only inviting members whom I think can help make it a better guild. It would be a little easier to do our jobs if the monster system was a bit different, like them spawning random spots with certain types in certain areas, etc. and also having certain ones chase you within certain distances of them and they stop if you get too far away, and also you don\'t need to be grouped for more than one person to attack the same one.... That way we could search for people running from a horde of monsters and help them.... But PS is its own game, so I will have to find a new way for it to work.... Which is why for now we help noobs, though ATM I have to refer them to my one of my two co-leaders, one of which will not be on very much due to a promise he made that I will not say to keep his privacy, and the other seems to get on when I am not on, so I don\'t know... Often I will refer them to someone of Guild Knights if I cannot help them myself, or maybe to someone of Klyros of Fury... I just have stuff I have to do, so I am working on it when I can. I will probably change the name when I can think of a better one. I would like to invite you, Von Harskiburg, to join my guild if you wish, but I will take no offense if you decline or already have a guild. I could use an advisor to help me make some of my decisions. Thanks for posting here.

Edit: Eh, spelled construction as contrustion....

I am honored by your offer, but I am currently a member of Legends of Amicitia. Of course, you can always ask advice from me by PMs, I\'d be glad to help. Just remember that it\'s your guild, not mine, so I\'m not going to do the whole thing for you.

I understand, and would not ask you to do the whole thing for me. I will call upon you if I need to, but otherwise I will leave you be. Once again, thank you.

Like I said, it is a bit slow moving right now. I am thinking of ideas... It would be easier if there wasn\'t a one person attacking at a time thing and monsters actually started to chase you and randomly spawning within certain areas... Then we could at least help people we see running from a hoarde of trepors and such... heh, that would be fun... Ah well, Planeshift has its own system and I will have to find a way to work upon that... The site? might as well ask me questions directly, the site is screwy... I hate phpBB boards and will probably switch over to Avid Gamers soon. I am good with those sites... Thanks for posting though.. After the wipe it will probably take me forever to come up with the money and members to restart the guild, but I will try my hardest. I tried changing the name of the guild since people were complaining and such about us being a Rangers guild, but many of my friends flamed me for it and stuff and Champions of Light sounded a bit dumb to me... Switched back to Rangers of Yliakum by popular demand of my friends. I am thinking of using my points in another way as well. I will probably start using them for something that other guilds probably do, but I like the idea and never really witnessed anything saying a guild used it. I will maybe post in the MOTD certain quests worth points, missions and such. The points will add up and once someone gets to a hundred, they will be promoted. This is in effect only for those above the rank of apprentice. Anyone above the rank of apprentice knows the basic knowledge of playing the game. They know how to fight, loot, sell, buy, train, etc. They might not know everything, but they know the basics. Lesser Rangers are those who know the basics but are still prone to quite a few questions. Someone who is quite knowledgeable in the ways of the game will be Rangers. From there up, you must earn the points and such to gain ranks, and each rank gives more authority. I am still working on it, but this structure requires dedication from the members. It is like JROTC at school. If someone of a higher rank tells you to drop, you don\'t truly HAVE to, not even if the Colonel tells us to. If you are disobedient, you will be kicked out of the program. I myself and dedicated and drop. I ask for my members to be dedicated. That is why I am being picky about who I recruit. I want good people right now who will be dedicated enough to do as their superiors ask as long as it isn\'t against their better judgement. If Kallis were to ask someone to go kill a noob who is minding their own business not bothering anyone, I expect that person to refuse and complain to me about what he was asked. I want respect and discipline in my ranks or the guild will not be as it should be. Eh, seems like I\'m trying to create a military unit in PS, lol.
