New ores and products?

Check these screenshots:








When and what will come about this ores and products? Who placed it up there (together with Dark dagger, Ruined dagger and other weapons), what has he done with it and why did he left it up there? I want all the answers on all the questions you can imagine!

well its pretty much common knowledge that a crafting system is in the works...

also i hope you clear up what ever junk you drop around the maps.

Yes i know the crafting system is not finished, but i want to know why it\'s up there, what where the results of the test and what\'s more.

well, as the shots show. ore was turned into other things... i think at the moment there are still bugs to be worked out of the system. also as you can see in the developement forum acraig has been working in a crafting window.

since when do we have mercury? and tin? and copper? and what stage of completion is crafting at(I know its implemented, but is its not being released a buggy issue or a balance issue?)

I\'m not exactly sure if I should pose this question here or in the Development Area, but here is where the question came to be so here is where I will post it.

Based on past experience, is there any sort of rule-of-thumb concerning the time between features being implemented in the CVS and being released in the game?  Or is it a matter of waiting until there are sufficient changes to warrant a server update?

there are many many things which the implimentation has been started, but not brought to a level where players, or even GMs can test yet. Crafting was first started in january or so, and then a few GMs were allowed to test it, which discovered many flaws. It was retested a few different times, and now in CVS a new interface is being worked on. I hope that everyone will be able to use it soon, but as usual, soon is later then we want :(
so in summery: just because something is in CVS does not mean players will get it, and there have been mercury and other ores for a while, but only when spawned by a developer.
