Mercenaries

Just a little query, if one is grouped with a player involved in a guild war does that give you the ability to attack his enemies?

For example as a mercenary you are hired to participate in a guild war, can you attack the opposing guild without you joining your employers guild and vice versa?

Grouping of players doesn\'t affect such things at the moment, but the concept is interesting. After all, what are mercenaries for? ;)

This would then apply to duelling as well. And it would add something else, too: when you are grouped with someone, and that someone is either involved in a guild war or accepted a duel, then th entire group would become attackable by the opponents the one player agreed to.

Things that must be worked out are: what happens when
1) the player is in the group but wasn\'t attacked or didn\'t attack, and quits the group? IMO, they should not be attackable afterwards
2) the player either was attacked or did attack and quits the group: IMO, they should then remain attackable
3) the group is disbanded by the leader: does 1) or 2) on a per case basis with all involved players independantly.

Well... here\'s an idea:
Extend the trade system to allow player-to-player hirings for arbitrary jobs.  You could hire another player to get you item(s) or complete a task, or in this case, kill some of your enemies.  In the case of hiring mercenaries, I guess it\'d be guild-to-player, because this is the kind of thing you\'d want leadership approval of.  The mercenary \"job\" would come with a guest/temporary guild membership to allow for the PvP.

(Hey, Moogie!...  Move this thread to the wish list, please.  :P )
