I\'ve just updated the new build of the most recent update, and i\'m still having the same problems as the old build; the updater will open and then quit.

I have Mac OS X version 10.3.9

And the processor is a 1.8 GHz PowerPC G5

I also have not noticed any improvement with my chief character, Larun.

However i played a different char and I was able to loot rats anyway.  But could nto sell the rat parts to a merchant.

I should have stated that i could use updater.jar and it took 28 minutes to do the update.   Also before i did that i had updated my Mac OS to 10.4.2.   However i use an Imac with 800 Hhz and 32 VRAM and 768 SDRAM.    PSClientCMD.jar works the same way and results in the same problems for larun.

How to Obtain a Console Log (Mac OS 10.3)            
This guide is intended for those asked to post a \"Console log\" as part of an effort to help them with bugs and crashes. It is intended for those running OS 10.3, though users of earlier and later versions of OS X should be able to follow it with minor changes.

1. Make sure Planeshift is not running. If it is, quit out of it.

2. In the Finder, navigate to your Applications folder ( /Applications/ ) and then to Utilities ( /Applications/Utilities/ ).

3. Open the application Console(.app).

4. Go up to the Edit menu and then down to \"Clear Display\" (you can also clear the log with the \"Clear\" button in the log window, if you have one).

5. Leave Console running and the log window open. Then, open Planeshift.

6. Do whatever you need to do in Planeshift to get the bug/crash to occur. Then exit (if it isn\'t a crash, that is) and switch back to Console.

7. Copy the contents of the log (Edit->Select all, Edit->Copy) and paste it (Edit->Paste) into a forum post or, if it is excessively long, into an email to whomever is trying to help you. If you email the log, make sure to give the message a clear title so that the person who is helping you knows not to delete it as junk. Only email the log if the person who is helping you has agreed to correspond via email.

Using CS/CEL from sept. 7th (I was getting a crash from a bug in the 5th version that was fixed on the 7th) and planeshift from the 7th also I am also having trouble with buying/selling at merchants. But I\'m not crashing. It just doesn\'t show things in the list. It shows the categories, weapons, items, etc.. just nothing in the list to the right.

I\'m getting the same problems as before - crashing when looting, limited controls, pssetup crashes, and messed up GUI windows. Here\'s   my console log.

I\'m having the same problem, I believe Cha0s said something about this being fixed in the new build, but alas, its not. Oh well, i think it only affects those using OS X 10.3.9, because i haven\'t heard of anyone wih 10.4 having this problem. oh well, mayebe they\'ll get it next time. As always a big thanks to everyone who works to bring us mac users the port (Cha0s, dfryer, eveyone else i don\'t know about).
